Help!!!
We are lucky enough to have the in-laws time share week to exchange for vacation for next year. (A full year from now, next May or June) Now, I know exactly where I want to go. But, of course, the weeks all get taken as soon as they are deposited. So, they do not have any availability at the two resorts I have to choose from.
Okay, so we sign up for the 'Search' thing. It works like a waiting list. But, I don't want to sit on this forever! What if a unit does not become available for us. And, the longer we sit on it, the more booked up everything will become.
I called once, and tried to find out our chances of getting in. I asked the rep if she could tell me if there were were like 20 other people already ahead of us. etc. And she said she couldn't tell me that. What she did say is that our Trading Power was probably more important than how many were ahead of us.
I assume this means that if we have great trading power, then even if there are ten people with a lesser trading power on the list in front of us, then we would be the first to be offered any available unit.
My inlaws own at a very nice resort. And, I am assuming that we should have pretty good Trading Power.
Any experts here?
Is there any way to find out any more info?
Is there a specific rating system for Trading Power?
Any other advice?
TIA!!!
