i will be getting married at disney 23 dec, now i am scared to death that it will rain...

We were at WDW from December 18-28 in 2002. We had a few sprinkles a couple of days in the early morning but not enough to really matter. However, on Christmas Eve we were in the worst rain I have seen in ages!! We were at Epcot and by the time we got back to the cabin, we were drenched! Our shoes didn't dry for days. Not only was it raining, but there was thunder, lightning, and strong winds. It was so bad that the second and third Candlelight Processional and IllumiNations were cancelled for that evening. Now, this may have been just a bad weather day and maybe it doesn't happen often.

We were there the week before Christmas break last December. One morning, the skies just opened up. We went to Disney-MGM anyway, bought some ponchos & had a blast. We had no problem getting on ToT or RnR multiple times. We practically walked into the Sci-Fi with no PS. The backlot tour & Indiana Jones were affected because they are outside, but other than that, there were hardly any lines. The rain kept everyone else away.

We were there last year from 12/20-12/29 and didnt see a drop of rain.

December is usually a dry month. We've gone the first or second week for the past 6 years and except for 2002, hit very little rain. 2002 was a wet one, we had 24 hour straight rain twice. Temps can be variable, we've had highs of 50 and highs of 80. 70's is the norm.

Best wishes for your wedding!

We were there 7-10th of Dec. 2002. One day was COLD - 50's and one day it rained the entire day. We were at Very Merry Christmas Party and it poured for hours. Most of the shows were cancelled. The only good part was the park cleared out and we were able to ride splash mountain over and over without getting off. Otherwise it was a bust and we looked like drowned rats for the free photos.

louisaho, We got married at Disney in December 2000 and the weather was beautiful. It did rain one evening but only lasted for 1 hour! It's a lovely time to get married, where are you having your ceramony? We got married at the pavillion and then we had some beautiful pictures taken at the GF beside the christmas tree and on the staircase!:teeth:

wow
me 2 at the pavillion, and we will be honeymooning in GF too
hope that everything will go well.... hope the weather will be good

I was there in 2002 also. There was a huge downpour, but we were leaving for Savannah, so it did not dampen our day.

We will be there for Christmas this year, too!

Congrats on the wedding, and we will not let it rain on YOUR day!
:bounce:

Oh, I am sooo jealous wish I was doing it all again!!! Hope the weather is good for you. Enjoy your day and I will look forward to your report and pics if you are willing to share!:teeth:
