Yup, at 8:50 I was finishing dinner at Pinocchio's Village Haus, getting ready to run across the street to Philharmagic. The rain last night at 9:30 was UNREAL! I was surprised that it held off as long as it did....it was a pretty steady drizzle as Wishes was going on, but when we came out of Philharmagic, it was POURING! Thundering, lightning, the whole nine yards.
We had a blast though. We ran in the rain like two little kids over to Snow White and giggled through that ride. Then we did Carosuel of Progress (OH MY GOODNESS, IT WAS HORRIBLE! It was really sad to see it like that), went to Buzz Lightyear (nearly busted our boo-tays on the slippery floors), Jungle Cruise and Pirates.
Snow White really shocked us because (well, this is sad) I've never ridden it before (I KNOW, I KNOW!) and my bf remembered a completely DIFFERENT ride. We decided against taking Maddy on it, as it was waaaayy too intense for her. She loves the Haunted Mansion, but this was much scarier.
COP was really sad. The wallpaper in the rotating room was peeling off, the whole room smelled like mold, and the show itself is in desperate need of help. The audio was off and hard to hear, the animatronics moved terrible (we nearly died laughing at the end where the father makes the oven blow up....he moved really, really slowly and strangely), and it just looked....well, dated. Even the "future" scene was horrible. "You kids and those laser discs of yours..."
We laughed all the way over to Buzz Lightyear about COP. My bf kept singing, "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow...uhhh...yesterday...uhh...ten years ago..." We were getting some funny looks.
Again (SHOCK!) neither one of us had done Buzz Lightyear before, so we decided to give it a go. It's amazing how many things I haven't done in that park, and I've been going my entire 25 years of life. My bf used to work there, too. We didn't care much for Buzz, and aparently there were a lot of "naughty" pictures at the end since there were a TON of "Zurg zapped your photo!" signs.
Jungle Cruise at night is much, much better. There were maybe 10 people on the boat with us, and our driver Don was hilarious. If you can see it at night instead of the day, do it that way.
Pirates was fun because we were the second to last boat through. We sat in the last row, and a party of 3 sat in the first row. The CM's were getting a little silly, and when our boat was going through the "Dead men tell no tales" scene, my bf put his arm around me and kissed me on the cheek. Suddenly, a voice came over the "Dead men tell no tales" voice and said, "Dead men tell no tales, but we can seeeeeee you....." My bf and I looked at each other and kind of shrugged it off. When we did the little "roller coaster" part of the ride ("There's rough waters ahead, me mateys...hold on tight!") we didn't hold onto the bar since we've done the ride a bajillion times. Well, it still jostled us enough that we both groaned loudly and laughed. A voice came on again: "Dead men tell no tales, and we warned you to hang on! We told you so!" We giggled at that for awhile.
The boat behind us took a few flash pictures and a creepy voice came on: "We said nooooooo flasssssshhhhh picturessssss!!" We had a nice little laugh at that
We ended up hanging out in the park until midnight, hopped the monorail, got into our car, and was back home within a few minutes

It was a nice night (rain included)
