If anyone has questions on the crowds, weather, etc. let me know. I went yesterday, and bf and I are going back tonight for dinner and some shows we couldn't do.

Yes, how were the crowds. Yesterday was the start of spring break for many and I'm wondering how things were. We leave on Tuesday and hit MK on Wednesday.

The weather is BEAUTIFUL here right now! Yesterday (and today) has a high of 78, lots of sun and hardly any clouds. It cooled down to the mid 60's last night, but no jackets or sweaters were needed. My daughter and I wore shorts and t-shirts all day.

The crowds are getting heavier. The average wait time for the Haunted Mansion was 35 minutes; Thunder Mountain was 45 min; Spalsh Mountain was an hour (NO ONE was using the fast pass!! I wonder why??); Space Mountain was about 45 minutes (again, hardly anyone using the fast pass booths); Dumbo was 45 minutes; Peter Pan ranged from 30 to 45 minutes; Snow White was around 30 minutes; Philharmagic was 30 minutes (again, no one using Fast Pass); Winnie the Pooh was 45 minutes.

A few tips...the WTP fast passes go quickly, so if you really want to ride it, try and get a fast pass as early as possible. A GREAT place to watch Wishes (and to be almost totally private) is to sit on one of the benches *behind* the castle. They're really out of the way, and it's very quiet. If you want a perfect view of the castle and the fireworks, grab a table (and some snacks!) at the *first* restaraunt when you walk into Tomorrow Land (erk! I've forgotten the name of it now!).

Though I'm sure most of you may know this (I didn't know this until yesterday!!) if you ask a CM while waiting in line for the monorail, you can sit in the front with the driver! It's funny, I go to the parks almost every weekend and it wasn't until my bf asked me last night if we wanted to sit with the driver that I was even aware that you could do that. I guess most people do not know that you can do it, so the CM's almost always say sure.

Any other ??'s :)

Hi! I was wondering if there is water at Donald's Boat and Ariel's Grotto?

I was also wondering about the crowds this weekend. I know there is a large cheerleading competition going on. There is also one when we go at the end of the month. I was wondering how it was affecting things. Thanks. Nasi

Hi ---do you know the competition dates for the end of March??? We are going 3/27-4/3 and I haven't heard of anything this week....

The Americheer competition is March 25 - 29. The people on the package are staying at the all-stars. The actual competition is a WWoS. Nasi

The water was at Ariel's Grotto, but I didn't see it at Donald's Boat. The weather last night was beautiful (high 60's). It's a shame that it's been rainy here today. We were thinking of going again tonight, but it's supposed to thunderstorm... :P

LOL...my apartment barely holds the three of us :)

However, Delswife Meets Stepharoonie! may be an interesting sitcom :) When you come back to Orlando, we're gonna have to meet up :)

I honestly do go to all of the theme parks almost every weekend. My daughter is at that age where she doesn't like to sit still, so taking her to a park is fun for both of us. She ADORES the Haunted Mansion (my favorite ride!!) and there's been times I've ridden it 4 times in a row for her. Last weekend, we rode the Mexico ride at Epcot 3 times in a row for her (she loved that hideous ride, blech!). I guess I am lucky that I live in the back yards of these theme parks (right across the street from Sea World....I can see Kraken/Atlantis/the tower from all of the windows in my apartment...fireworks every night!), and the Universal/Disney parks are less than 10 minutes away.

I guess I shouldn't say that I'm going again tonight, should I? ;)

According to my clock, right now it is 8:50pm.

*sigh*

I know you guys are in MK 'playing' right now.

*sigh*

Here I sit, waaaaay up in cold, cold Maine.

**Really big sigh**

Hope you guys are having fun.

Just a little guilt. :wave2:

You are so lucky! Not only do you get to live where I want to be, your little girl is a cutie!

Sounds like you live in a GREAT place!

I'd be in Disney every weekend too!

See you in Decemeber!:teeth:

Want to hear something even sadder? I, too was at Magic Kingdom yesterday (Sunday). The temp was around 82, blue and cloudless above. The crowds were heavy but not as bad as on Tuesday. They must have unexpectedly changed the hours because the printout I had from Disney.com said that the closing time was 8 PM but as I arrived they announced that they would stay open until 11 PM.

That was the good part, now the sad part. As I type this I am sitting back here in Vermont, outside the window it is snowing and my trip is over.

Yesterday, 82 degrees today snow. Tomorrow I go back to work and try to save money to go again sometime. Sighhhhh!

:( :( :( :( :( :(

Yup, at 8:50 I was finishing dinner at Pinocchio's Village Haus, getting ready to run across the street to Philharmagic. The rain last night at 9:30 was UNREAL! I was surprised that it held off as long as it did....it was a pretty steady drizzle as Wishes was going on, but when we came out of Philharmagic, it was POURING! Thundering, lightning, the whole nine yards.

We had a blast though. We ran in the rain like two little kids over to Snow White and giggled through that ride. Then we did Carosuel of Progress (OH MY GOODNESS, IT WAS HORRIBLE! It was really sad to see it like that), went to Buzz Lightyear (nearly busted our boo-tays on the slippery floors), Jungle Cruise and Pirates.

Snow White really shocked us because (well, this is sad) I've never ridden it before (I KNOW, I KNOW!) and my bf remembered a completely DIFFERENT ride. We decided against taking Maddy on it, as it was waaaayy too intense for her. She loves the Haunted Mansion, but this was much scarier.

COP was really sad. The wallpaper in the rotating room was peeling off, the whole room smelled like mold, and the show itself is in desperate need of help. The audio was off and hard to hear, the animatronics moved terrible (we nearly died laughing at the end where the father makes the oven blow up....he moved really, really slowly and strangely), and it just looked....well, dated. Even the "future" scene was horrible. "You kids and those laser discs of yours..."

We laughed all the way over to Buzz Lightyear about COP. My bf kept singing, "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow...uhhh...yesterday...uhh...ten years ago..." We were getting some funny looks.

Again (SHOCK!) neither one of us had done Buzz Lightyear before, so we decided to give it a go. It's amazing how many things I haven't done in that park, and I've been going my entire 25 years of life. My bf used to work there, too. We didn't care much for Buzz, and aparently there were a lot of "naughty" pictures at the end since there were a TON of "Zurg zapped your photo!" signs.

Jungle Cruise at night is much, much better. There were maybe 10 people on the boat with us, and our driver Don was hilarious. If you can see it at night instead of the day, do it that way.

Pirates was fun because we were the second to last boat through. We sat in the last row, and a party of 3 sat in the first row. The CM's were getting a little silly, and when our boat was going through the "Dead men tell no tales" scene, my bf put his arm around me and kissed me on the cheek. Suddenly, a voice came over the "Dead men tell no tales" voice and said, "Dead men tell no tales, but we can seeeeeee you....." My bf and I looked at each other and kind of shrugged it off. When we did the little "roller coaster" part of the ride ("There's rough waters ahead, me mateys...hold on tight!") we didn't hold onto the bar since we've done the ride a bajillion times. Well, it still jostled us enough that we both groaned loudly and laughed. A voice came on again: "Dead men tell no tales, and we warned you to hang on! We told you so!" We giggled at that for awhile.

The boat behind us took a few flash pictures and a creepy voice came on: "We said nooooooo flasssssshhhhh picturessssss!!" We had a nice little laugh at that :)

We ended up hanging out in the park until midnight, hopped the monorail, got into our car, and was back home within a few minutes :) It was a nice night (rain included) :)
