Any problems with your confirmations?

When I recieved my confirmation by mail- it stated that the balance must be paid by a certain date (which was wrong), my balance is due at the time of arrival. I have called twice about this and both times they have told me to disregard the confirmation that they sent- that it was wrong. They also told me that they could not send a correct one because the computer would generate the same confirmation again. (they have sent 2 incorrect ones). They told me not to worry- I paid my deposit and that I don't owe anything until check-in (I used room only discount).
Should I be concerned? I'm still a little worried!:scared:
 
I just got mine and instead of my name on the ressie it has my sons best friends name that is going with us. So I told him sorry its in your name you have to pay for it LOL How they got that mixed up I don't know :confused:
 
We booked res. on Jan. 6 and still have not gotten conf. letter!!!:mad: I called CRO on Jan 25, confirmed my res., and they said the "send out another." Still have not received either one!!:confused:
 
I think they are in the process of implementing a new computer system or something???

My Dh made our ressies in December and since then I have received 5 confirmation letters, three in orange and two in blue. The last one came three days ago, which was because we made changes to our reservations. The other four were because of wrong pricing and for not crediting us for our deposit. It's strange that they told you they could not generate a corrected copy because we got ours four days after calling. They also told my Dh not to worry about it but he insisted that they send an updated confirmation.

I better call them again and "insist" on a correct confirmation. Maybe I should ask to speak to a Customer service lead or supervisor???
Any thoughts?
 
Well.. I just got back from my trip on Wednesday night.. and I received my confirmations in the mail yesterday!! :eek: For a minute there I thought I was going again!! I got soooo excited!! LOL!! I made my ressies at the beginning of January!! just thought I would add my humor to the thread!!

But if it makes you feel any better... I didn't have any confirmations and all of my reservations were correct... That is until the CM at the Boardwalk cancelled my reservation at the WL... but that's a conversation for another day!! :rolleyes:

A Great time was still had by all... and I can't wait to get back to the Lodge!!!

I am so glad you posted. We got our confirmation last week and it also had a date for final payment. I called CRO and they confirmed the balance was due at check-in. He told me to ignore the confirmation packet I received. But I am a little neurotic (moreso when it comes to my vacation planning) and I called back the next day and spoke with someone else. Same thing. I'm glad to hear someone else is having the same experience.

I booked my trip in early December and I still haven't gotten a mailed confirmation-although I did get billed for the deposit on my CC. :rolleyes: I guess I should call and see what the heck is going on.

I guess they didn't bother mailing me one because we are in England and booked online but I still would have thought that the least they could do when we are spending thousands of dollars on a trip was mail a confirmation to me. I called them tonight and they wouldn't let me pay off my reservation (exchange rate excellent for the pound so wanted to pay it off) - she told me I had no option but to wait until arrival :rolleyes:

Is it just me, or do you get a different story every time you call?

We booked 3 rooms for Jan 2005. Then we booked 1 room for Feb 21-23, one for Feb 23-35. They charged my credit card for this.

Since then, I have gotten orange envelopes and today, white envelopes. I can't keep track and three of the letters are wrong! Should I be worried????

PS to Richard: Is there an automated system that you can go thru and enter your credit card number? If not, keep calling!!!! GOOD LUCK
 
i have been waiting for my conf. letter for about three weeks, i received my cancelation conf. letter with 5 days. when i called the cm their computers were down and she didnt want to look up the conf. # by manual, so they gave me a lame excuse that the conf. letters have been taking longer to recieve and not to worry. a week later i called again and here to find out after my street address there were some crazy numbers and letters like, 201vml,
the cm ask me what does that stand for, i said i have no idea what that means, so in the mean time i pulled out my canceled conf. letter and the same numbers and letters are right after my street address. i told her maybe by some strange reason i got the canceled one but maybe the post office returned my conf. one.
so they are sending out another letter with out the crazy #s and letters on it, supposely, we will see..........:crazy:
 
It is getting to confusing that I am just laughing to myself. :p After all that happened in my previous post, I just received two more confirmation letters! One was a cancellation notice for the incorrect daily rate that they charged me four weeks ago, the second was dated 1/14 (I have already received an updated copy dated 1/27 last week) and had our old check-in date. I now have seven letters in three different colors :D

You're not alone. Made ressies in December and it took 3 phone calls to get my confirmations. Now I'm waiting for my confirmation sheet for another trip I booked early January. We often get the message that payment is due and always have room only reservations. Yes we too are told not to worry and it's never been a problem. Guess I'll call again tomorrow to get that missing confirmation (4 weeks now).
 
I hade the same thing happen on my ressie. When I called they said they balance was due and check in and my original confirmation was correct. I called a couple weeks later to use a AA code (in case no AP codes come out) and when my updated ressie came it said payment was due 5 days before checkin. I called and the CM said the computer show that the balance is due @ check-in. I hope they are right!
 
Mine said the same thing...when I called I was also told to not to worry the balance was due at check-in.
 
My first confirmation also showed balance due by a certain date and I was given the same information when I called to check on it: don't worry about it, it's a mistake, no more money due until check-in.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one on this, as I've gotten plenty of conflicting stories in planning this vacation. The very first time I called to make ressies, I got this wonderful CM who spent lots of time with me and looked for the best deal, which ended up being $79/night at PC. When I called back to make my ressies, the woman I talked to was not nearly as friendly or helpful and despite giving her the same info, dates, and so on, she kept insisting that the best deal she could give me was $89 a night. I kept asking her why it would be $10 more a night, making sure it was a standard room view, etc. Finally I just gave up and booked anyway, figuring maybe in the course of 1 day, the prices changed... turned out when I got my confirm, she had made the ressie for 3 adults in the room, instead of 2, hence an extra $10 a night fee... It's nice they keep certain info about you on file, so you don't have to give it every time, but just because my father has gone with in the past doesn't automatically mean he's going this time... And I remember her asking how many people would be in the room... very weird. It was a bit of a hassle to get this fixed, but it was taken care of and even though the woman who fixed it for me wasn't sure they could send me a new confirm, sure enough, about 4 or 5 days later, a new, correct one arrived (which showed no balance due until check-in).
 
First off, I got my confirmation withing 2 weeks. It was on a white sheet of paper- do the colors mean anything? It did not have a date the balance is due- I'm assuming the CM was right when I made the ressie that it is due at check-in. Now, I requested two connecting rooms near the bus stop/food court at POFQ. The two connecting rooms is listed but not close to the bus stop/food court. Should this be on there or is it just in the computer? I know POFQ is compact- which is why we like it so much- but my mother cannot walk far distances and I discussed it with the CM on the phone. I just wonder if it should be on the confirmation? I'm not too worried b/c FQ is so small, just curious if this was a mistake?
