We are going on Friday to see it, but I found it odd that it's been discussed so little on the boards. It's getting mixed reviews. Would love to hear from a DISer!

I took my 7yr. daughter to see it yesterday and I will say I was not that thrilled with it. She wanted to leave half way through it. I have to say so did I. The last half hour the movie was a little better. I would not see it again. I took her to see the movie Old Dogs and she loved that one.

Oh no! I'm sad. I want to see it so bad. My niece is 2 and is leaving for WDW Thursday. I realized she had never seen Cinderella so watched it with her this morning. They just don't make the movies like they used to, I guess.

I absolutely loved it!
I'm 16 and I went with my best friend and we adored it.

The animation was breathtaking, the story was heart warming and breaking in points, and the songs were downright catchy.

The only complaint I've had is an animation sequence during "I'm Almost There" and I wish Dr. Facilier's character had been better developed.

Otherwise, we ADORED it, and my friend is by no means Disney obsessed, but she does love New Orleans!

I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I was reminded of my youth- growing up in the heart of the Disney Renaissance period.

There have been several threads started on PATF, and the comments I've seen here have been overwhelmingly positive.

I saw it Saturday, and enjoyed it a lot, particularly the songs, and the main characters (really liked Tiana and Naveen, individually and as a couple, froggy and human). I'd give it a B+, the story gets a bit cluttered and convoluted, and not all the slapstick worked for me (they could have left out the frog hunters), but I would certainly recommend it to fans of classic Disney animation.

I wouldn't let one person's opinion (pro or con) put you on or off of seeing the movie; we all have different takes on things. "Up" is my favorite movie of this year (and the last several years), I give it an A+++ and think everyone needs to see it, but there were several posters this summer who hated it. Everyone has their own taste.

I felt the same way about the frog hunters until I dissected the scene more. It's actually pretty essential in developing both Naveen and Tiana's characters in the movie.

Loved it - I'm 20. But if I had a child that was easily scared I'd think twice before taking him/her.

my 16 y/o went to see it last weekend and she LOVED it. She can't wait until it comes out on video so she can buy the dvd. I plan on taking my 5 y/o next weekend to see it.

We took our 2 and 3 year old DDs to see it twice this weekend! Took them on Friday afternoon and they were still going on and on and on about it on Sunday so we took them again. I loved it! The animation is gorgeous and I thought the story was really well done. Thank God I was able to snag the last Princess Tiana dress at our local Disney Store today! Santa will be a hero at our house now!

We just saw it tonight and loved it!

My 9 year old dd did so much laughing , even my 12 year old son loved it.

It is true a true Disney movie. Loved the firefly dude.

I didn't even know it was out! *Facepalm* I feel like an idiot. ^^;

I also loved it. Im 16 and a guy btw. I loved the songs, the setting the diverse characters. Although, dr. Facilier could have been better developed as megan saod. He needed to be more villainy. Also i felt like there was a little of a speed bump right before the last half hour. ( the whole frog hunters thing) also i really liked the story with ray and evangeline. I think the ending scene with the shadow man and tiana could have been a bit more dramatic. Especially the last part that dr. Facilier comes out (im trying not to spoil it) could have been way better done. I enjoyed this movie
very much and i would deffinetly go see it again. Now, this is no lion king, beauty and the beast, or little
mermaid but it ranks right behind those great movies.

I just came back from seeing it with my 11yo dd, 16yo ds, his friends 17yo (HS senior boy) and two 14 yo (HS freshman girls).

We ALL loved it! Laugh out loud moments - some scary/eerie/frightening moments. The music was fantastic. It felt like such a treat to see new animation from Disney. The old formula still works.

I even liked the goofy frog hunter scene - I literally laughed out loud - it was so silly.

Loved the twist at the end.

Really, really well done.

Just got back from the theater, I went with two friends, and we all loved it. We all think it's the best Disney movie in awhile.

We all loved the music, and were all happy that there's another movie now where the characters are the ones actually singing the songs. I already bought the music off of iTunes. My favorite songs are Friends on the Other Side, (the villian's song,) and Dig a Little Deeper, (Mama Odie's song.) The love song actually reminded me of Bella Notte a little bit.

The characters were all great, but I don't want to say a lot and give away too much.

I laughed a lot, and was tearing up at the end.

My friend says it's better then Up, which I haven't seen yet, but this may be my favorite animated movie since Beauty and the Beast.

ETA - I would say it is a little dark for very young children. And more "modern" then the other princess movies.

It was good. Not exactly what I expected but I really enjoyed it.

I liked the frog hunter line about making frog legs "I'm gonna have some cornbread with you." :rotfl:

I thought the frog hunter scene was hysterical.

My best friend and I (both 21) went to go see it on Saturday as a treat for finishing finals and we LOVED it! I'd recommend it to anyone really, just as long as they enjoy very typical Disney movies. But it is a defiantly one that I will buy when it comes out on DVD.

Warning though, there is a part in it where we both teared up a little. So sad. :sad1:

Yes, thers was a sad part. But then what happened after gave me the warm fuzzies :goodvibes:
