Any predictions for Oct. Swan/Dolphin discounts?

I know right now there are great rates ($140ish) through the end of Sept. I'm not familiar with the Swan and Dolphin... wondering if they typically offer discounted rates in Oct. as well? I know it's a guessing game. But I know other resorts are discounted up to 30% sometimes in the fall. I'm just not sure about S&D. Any insight?

I like the Swan and would stay there again if the price is good enough to cover paying for our own transportation from the airport.

I would also like to stay at either the Swan or Dolphin on a future trip. Great proximity to two parks! As a matter of information......by checking rates I found that there would be a daily resort fee of $17 per day and a $15 fee for parking ($20 for valet) which is not built in to the advertised rate. So one should add these charges to the room rate plus tax.

I've read it's so big that some rooms can be a huge hike to the pool? Also doesn't get the best reviews on tripadvisor...but since I couldn't get FD for our Nov. trip I'm thinking I should look more into this resort?

I'd like to know too- we got FD for every night but our very last, And I was thinking a night at the S/D may be cheaper than paying rack rate at POR for that one night... But it may not be worth the hassle if its the same price after the parking fee ect!

I was able to book for food & wine thru a website called quikbook.com for $159 a night from oct 12-19

right now they have a sale for $129 a night for bookings at the dolphin thru sept 31

i have used quikbook.com in the past with great success! the only thing is that if you can't find good pricing for your dates, and you can play around w/ the dates you may be able to have success this way. Also keep checking back every couple of days or so as the rates change very often

SPG.com is also a great place to find discounts on the swan.
