Any place on Florida Gulf Coast like Hilton Head Island?

We are at Hilton Head right now and LOVING it, except we are crystal clear water snobs & thinking about next summer!

What we love here...we are renting a home with it's own private pool and private fishing dock and the beach is a 5 minute bike ride away. Lots of wildlife.

We do a split of eating in and out, play mini-golf, shop, etc.

Our kids are 6 & 8.

We have been to St. Pete Beach and Captiva and liked both, but looking for more! Considering renting a home in Captiva, Marco, St. George Island, etc?!

Just wanted to say that we love HHI! In fact we're headed to Hilton Head right after our Disney trip!

Captiva and Marco are close to my parents. It gets extremely hot in the summer. My parents come back to Indiana May-October because of the heat and humidity.

If you can stand the heat, Captiva is beautiful. My aunt and uncle go there at Spring Break and visit my parents too. They love it.

We love HHI too! We are heading there in about 4 weeks and I cant wait! Sorry Im no help with you Gulf Coast question- just had to give the thumbs up to HHI- it is so quiet and relaxing

We'll be in Disney June 28-July 13 and then we'll be at HHI July 13-July 17.

I think HHI is just what we'll need after Disney. A nice relaxing vacation where the kids can sleep in, we're be at the park at rope drop Disney people!

Grayton Beach is one of the most natural of the "Beaches of South Walton" along the gulf coast. Seaside would be fun for kids, Santa Rosa, Blue Mountain Beach...Our chidlren are also 6 and 8 (and 2!) and they love it there - white sand beaches, crystal turquoise water - it's wonderful!!!

Nothing is like HHI!!
But there are some nice places. I agree that Captiva is very nice.
