Any pics yet of Dream aft balconies?

Here is a picture of 6690's balcony. It is the mirror of 6190 so it should be the same size. 6192 should be slightly deeper and wider.

WOW! Thanks so much!
Did you or were you able to have loungers out there?
Thanks.

Change that room :goodvibes
Disney needs to re-cat that room.
I would be mad if I got that and paid for a verandah!

That's my point exactly!!! How can DCL justify charging the same price for THAT as they do for those rooms with regular balconies in the same category?!
Unfortunately, our cruise is sold out, but I sent my TA a note along with the picture and told her to look for any cancellations! Fingers crossed! If not, DCL will be hearing about it.

Disney should also re-categorize all of the aft corner rooms. I don't think it's fair to have those larger rooms with the huge verandahs set at the same price as the center aft rooms, which are much narrower and have smaller verandahs.
Even if they DO eventually make those rooms handicap accessible, they should be priced in a higher category.
Talking about room numbers 9670, 8184, 8682, 7190 and 7688....although I bet the people who are lucky enough to snag these would disagree.

Unfortunately it wasn't me that took that picture or stayed in that room. Barb (I think her name is Barb) stayed in that room and posted the picture on twitter. That is where I got it from. From what I could tell it might have enough room for a lounger but I am not sure.

Frankly most of the AFT cabins have HUGE balconies compared to anything 5A-D. I don't know why any of them are cheaper. If they wanted to make them fair the 6B should go to those couple rooms or perhaps classify them as a 7. Then put the rest of the AFT's in the 5B category (with the 5E's and their big balconies) then make the corners 5A's.

I am happy I got my 8188 for pretty cheap. Definitely cheaper than the 5 categories.

Thank you! Thank you!

GASP!:scared1: I REALLY don't want that balcony! I hope the other 6B rooms aren't like that! I have #7690 booked....I would be really upset!

Oooh! I have 7690 booked for June 3rd, 2011. When are you going? I hope our deck isn't that tiny one I just saw!

We're also on the lookout for 6688 photos. We changed to there, after reviewing HallsofVA's thread. Our original room looked pretty obstructed. (It was aft starboard, but I don't remember the room number)

First off, I think the 5E's should stay the cheapest Cat 5's. Who cares about the size of the verandah? (IMO) I, for one, would not book that room because everyone above you looks down on the extended part, thus not a totally "private" verandah. I know they have an avid following, though.

I agree with the Cat 6 classifications, as well. Like the Magic/Wonder, they are billed as solid white-walled verandahs. Now, being astute consumers, we know that they are only solid up to ~shin length. Trade-off - large verandah, not 100% plexiglass verandah. (Full disclosure, I'm booked in 9674). Also, aft cabins tend to vibrate when the ship docks & leaves ports; another reason why I think DCL is correct in the way they categorized those rooms. They go by the size/locatio of the room, not size of the verandah. I do think there is a chance DCL will recatagorize a few (like the SPH & secret verandah cabins), but not that many.

All makes sense....except......in the aft CORNER rooms, it isn't just the verandahs that are larger, it's the rooms, too. And those were the ones we were talking about.
So far, only one of them is held back for handicap accessible booking...9170.
But the others: 9670, 8164, 8682, 7190 & 7688 are significantly larger than other staterooms in the same category and of the same price.

We have 8188 on our sailing too. Hoping to see pics of the room and balcony eventually. :)

I'm waiting to see 10160 as we may have this for our 3 night in Nov if my nieces decide to do a B2B in Nov.

we stayed in 6690 a couple of weeks ago, and it only comes with the 2 chairs and table, no loungers.. probably would be enough room though

Thank you very much for answering. We have 6690 and 6692 booked for July.
I have a few questions:
Do you have any pictures?
Did you like the location?
Was the flag a big annoyance?
Was the loud music at night a problem?
Were you able to notice if the partition between 6690 and 6692 could be opened?
Thank you VERY much!

We just booked 9672 on the Fantasy for next May! Our first veranda (2nd cruise) and we are super excited! Hopefully we will see pics soon!
