Any Philharmagic Pictures?

No pics but I read a review at wdwmagic.com

There are spoilers, but it sounds terrific.

Today was the very first day of MK Cast Previews. WDW general cast preview will be Thursday and Friday, Annual Passholder previews will be Saturday and Sunday, and the attraction officially opens to the public on October 8th.
I was able to visit today before my shift began and it was lots of fun. There are many surprises and some impressive effects.

.....I'm so hoping we'll be able to catch a preview of Philharmagic next week sometime! We'll be there until next Saturday. I reaaaaaallly want to see it!!

Which Saturday and Sunday are the Annual Pass Previews? I'd love to check it out.

EDIT: I found it. It is THIS Saturday and Sunday.

Does anyone know whether or not this may have a general guest soft opening after the AP holders' preview? I will be there 9/24-10/2 and would really like to see this.

20th and 21st for APs.
No word yet on general soft openings.
Official opening date is Ocotber 8th.
They're still tweaking things and it's not 100% ready.

BTW, While "WISHES" the new MK fireworks display will debut on October 8th, this will be for the press event that evening. Magic Kingdom will be closing at 6pm on October 8th due to the press event.
October 9th, MK is open until 10 pm, and that will be the first night that guests will be able to view "Wishes."

We went to see it today. What a GREAT show!

There were more than a few unhappy people outside, however. Seems people do not like when SOME get to see an attraction while THEY are not allowed to. Those are some brave Cast Members out front! They were handling it VERY well though.

I took a couple pics. I am not sure how they came out. I didn't want to use the flash inside, before the show. Obviously, it is difficult to take pics of the show itself. I may try, eventually, but I'd have to hold the 3D glasses over the lense. I preferred to watch it today. :)

There are great scenes/songs from popular Disney movies including Beauty and the Beast, LIttle Mermaid, Lion King, Aladdin, and Peter Pan. The screen curves around to the sides a bit, so there are 3D images in your peripheral vision as well as in front of you!

I'm amazed at what they can do with 3D movies now. It's much, much, much better than Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Muppet Vision 3D and Tough to Be a Bug. There are still some "special" effects around the theater, but very VERY good and well-timed.
It's like nothing I've ever seen before!

I do want to make a comment about the AP holders that shared the theater with us today. They were pushy, and did not follow instuctions to "move all the way to the end of the row" People PUSHED to the front, RAN into the theater and plunked down in the middle of the aisles, making it difficult for everyone else to get seated quickly. You'd think people that go to WDW more often than others would know better, but they seem to be the worst offenders.

Here are a couple pics from inside the theater and in the shop afterwards. Inside, I tried not to the use flash. Forgive me for the slight blur.

Here is the stage and screen:

Here are a couple of inside the shop. Taking a cue from Dan, these shots are looking up.

FYI, for those that haven't noticed, there is a link at the top of this forum to the wdwinfo review of Philharmagic, with photos...

Also check your pms. Pete posted two links....one about Mickey's Philharmonic with tons of pictures and another about the new ratings system.

Very much looking forward to this. My son really misses Lion King so it will be nice to have something in that space.
