....sick to death of worrying about more terrorist attacks???

I feel like there's a big black cloud hanging over everything now, I can't even look forward to my forthcoming holiday because I feel like I'm waiting for something bad to happen first! AAAHHHHHH

I work in the financial district and travel in by tube, hence the fear!

We live just outside of london, but my partner commutes in everyday, he worries I worry, but we need to live so life must go on. But as you say that fear is always in the back of your mind :(

I work very close to russell square, one of my work collegues was hurt in the bombings [ he was one the front carridge from kings cross to russell sq]
he has lost a leg, and even though he was only given a 5% chance of surviving the day, he's still here, fighting every step.

You cannot allow people to dictate how we live our lives by fear, you have to move on and grow from it!
The only difference between me now and then is that in my bag I carry some additional items eg a first aid kit, a mask and a torch, if the worst happens, assuming i survive I hope i can help myself and others around me.
If we ignore others then we are allowing them to win, and all those who have died, i feel will have done so for nothing.

my 2 pence worth.

Toni
if we stand together side by side there aint no room for terrorism

We live just outside London. DH is going to Arsenal on Sunday and will have to get 2 tubes - I'm worried but not letting him see that I am. Usually we take it in turns to go to the games but I don't intend going - at least not for the forseeable future.

I live in West London and I was in the city on Wednesday......I fully understand your worries and concerns but this is exactly what these people want to do, terrorise you......I too am jumpy and scared when I use public transport but, I will not let a load of bullies dictate to me. I will go where I like, when I like.

We all react differantly to stressful situations, maybe you would feel better if you had someone to talk through your fears. Your welcome to pm me anytime

Though it is difficult, you must continue to move forward. I am a banker in the U.S., and my branch was robbed 5 years ago. The robber ended up in a shootout (he had more firepower than the first few police chasing) and thank goodness no law enforcement officers were hurt.

It was difficult to gain confidence again in the office but it came in time. Hopefully all the evil people who have terrorized London will be caught and brought to justice.

On a side note.... my wife and I arrived in London on July 9 which was 2 days after the first attack. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of London and Cambridge. Even though all lines weren't operating, the tube system was very efficient. Everyone in England treated us very well. We hope to be able to visit again someday.
