Ok...this sucks...I've been spotting for like 6 days can we get this going already!!!!! I have resigned myself to the fact that we are out for this cycle. It is strange...for two weeks I hope that AF stays away and now I want her to show up...I think I'm going

Well...I'm off to Disneyland tomorrow so at least I'll be in the "Happiest Place on Earth"

I'm new to all this - but, has anyone else had trouble signing up at fertilityfriend? I've tried twice now over the last few days & keep getting a message that they can't approve me for an account. This is after I pick a screenname/nickname, input my email address & answer how I was directed to the site - Any ideas anyone?

arizonacolbys, this happened to me, too. I think it was because my friend would send me her log in and password to see her chart and so it thought I was trying to get two accounts. No matter how many times I tried or emailed them (no response) I was never able to get an account. Instead, I started my own spreadsheet. If you want that, shoot me an email. Otherwise, get on another computer and try on that one using a different email address than one you've tried before.

I feel like I've missed so much - did we get some more BFPs? How is everyone doing? Update please!!!!

Oh gosh, I just scrolled down and read that Carla got her BFP! Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

Hello all --

Well, Thanksgiving went well (because us crazy Canucks have it super early!) but as much as I liked drinking wine, I would've prefered to have not been able to...being pregnant would be wayyyyy better than a few glasses of wine!

Work has been super busy and on top of that, I have an exam on Saturday for my human resources designation...so, lots of worry and go, go, go....

CD9 for me and we've been BDing more frequently this month -- hopefully it works! Our neighbour is down at Disney right now and we've asked her to pick up mickey ears embroidered with "Nana" and "Papa" to give my parents when we get pregnant. I can't wait to be able to do it!!

Congrats to all the BFPs lately! :cheer2:

It looks like DH is getting a job offer!!! Hooray! :Pinkbounc Of the jobs he's interviewed for, this is the one I wanted him to get. It's the closest to our house, he could use the bus/train to get there (he gets more exercise when he takes public transportation), and if he's really good he could even start biking to work which would be REALLY good for his health (he's diabetic, overweight, and has high blood pressure and high cholesterol).

The only bummer is that it's a contracting position through June with the possibility (but no gaurantee) of becoming a full-time position. The benefits aren't great, but they did agree to his requested salary. IF he gets the full-time position in June, then his salary would be only 5% lower than what it was at his last job (a HUGE miracle), and it sounds like the benefits would be comparable to his last job.

So tonight when we were out celebrating DH's 40th birthday with a romantic dinner, he said "well, when we get the benefits paperwork we should sit down and look at what plan would be best for us so we could have a baby." !!!! :cheer2: I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but there's still plenty of time for us to get the BD on this month and give it a try for this cycle.... I think that if he can get in and start working right away next week and get the paperwork, he might just feel okay with moving ahead this month even. I'm trying really hard to give him the space he needs with this, but I REALLY want a baby and I want to be TTC now. The biological clock is long past the ticking stage and well into the alarm. I've been trying to hit the snooze button for too many years, and it feels like the darn clock is going to explode if it isn't satisfied soon!

Congrats on the job offer for hubby & on deciding to TTC!!! It's a great feeling isn't it?! :thumbsup2 :teeth:

I'm (not so patiently) waiting for next week to get here, then, hopefully this cold I'm fighting will be gone along with AF & we can begin our first month of TTC! :goodvibes

So...just an update...feeling better today. DH and I have decided to bd every other night for this cycle - maybe that will do the trick! I got my pre-seed in the mail yesterday. I had no idea that it came in pre-filled applicators! Now I understand why everyone was saying it is so expensive! I thought I got a bottle for $17. Yikes - can only use it for 6 bds! :bitelip: When is the best time??? Before o - during o? :confused3 Have also been temp'ing each morning, taking my multi-vitamin, and taking my green tea tablet each morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed!! ;)

Hi everyone.

Just an update on me.

I am CD33, 19DPO, and I took a HPT again yesterday and it was a BFN. I have not gotten AF, but I swear sometimes I think I am pregnant! I have had a metallic taste in my mouth since about a week after O, waves of nausea, very vivid dreams every night, really hungry, very achey lower back, and AF like cramping. Is it possible I am pregnant or not? My cycles are normally around 33 days, so it isn't weird that I haven't gotten AF, but I am just wondering if I need to take anymore HPT or should I give up? :confused3

Remember that your hubby needs to take a zinc, vitamin E and vitamin C supplement.....keeps those little buggers swimming strong! ;)

That is awesome news!!!! We went through quite a lot with my DH when he was laid off. It was really a huge roller coaster ride for us all. He started off as a contractor and they began the hiring process for him about 4 months into it... sadly they were so slow doing it that it took almost to the 6 month mark  But we love wehre he is now, so keep your hopes up! Many like to do contracting because it is easier to hire with those. If it is a fit they'll want to keep him!

And bigolive, woo hoo on the BFP!!! That is awesome! I even got a super faint line on hte First Response when I took it... never again ;)

Well, I went and had my ultrasound. The doctor was not called in since everything looked good. She estimates me at actually closer to 7 weeks (6w5d) than 6. It would make sense since my numbers for the qants were 14K and 38K the last time I took them. She believes she saw a subchorionic bleed which would be causing the clots and the like. Probably why they are always brown too. From what she can see, it looked like it happened after implantation. If that is the case and it never gets to be too big (she said mine did look small) it will not be a cause for concern. My doc will call me later today/tomorrow after looking over everything.
But... I saw the heart beating... that nearly made me cry.

I'm skipping a lot, I know, but I had to come in when I could :)

Yes - he does take a multi-vitamin daily, so hopefully he has some good swimmers!

Elaine - how exciting!!! :woohoo: Sounds like your appointment went well, and you got some answers that you were looking for! Congrats!!

Yeah :cheer2: Elaine. Glad to hear that things are going well.

Elaine, that's the best news I've heard in a week :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

ImarriedGrumpy, congrats on his job! Now is the perfect time to start trying!

Happy BD'ing to everyone who's trying!

Hey everyone. I'm tired of signing into my other screename (WannabeRockerMom) that I created b/c I didn't want everyone to know that I was ttc, but I don't really care anymore so I'm just going to use this one.

This has been the longest month ever. I can't beleive that I still have another week and a half to wait for AF. Does it always seem this slow or is this because its our first cycle ttc?

Lots of luck to you, Ash. There are lots of people much more knowledgeable than I am about cycles, but I think it seems pretty slow to everyone.

Let's just hope your offspring don't turn out looking like your siggie pictures. :teeth:

Yeah, let's hope not! :lmao:

Elaine, I am so happy you got answers and GOOD news!! If I wasn't at work, I would have cried when you said you almost cried. I had to fight it off. :goodvibes

IMarriedGrumpy, I'm so happy things are looking up for you. :thumbsup2

mickeybar, that's how I felt. Only my taste was ashtray, not metal. :guilty: I had strange, vivid dreams....one of them involved DH taking me to Babies R Us and me saying I couldn't go in there because I wasn't pregnant and my DH saying we could go in because I was pregnant. It's freaky now thinking back on it. :) Anyway, I'd give it a few more days and then call your gynecologist. I had a friend who never had her BFP show up on an HPT. For some unknown reason, some women just don't produce HCG in their urine. You could also have a late implanter and just might not have the amount needed for an HPT to read. But, you shouldn't let a cycle go on for long without calling you gynecologist. Mine had a 40 day cut off - anything longer than that and he insisted on seeing me.

Ash, I think time stands still in the TTC world. :goodvibes And, it is pretty much all waiting. :sunny:

I just had a big lunch fiasco. What happened to a normal garden salad? Why do people insist on adding goat cheese and cold cuts?? Ick, for one, and, two, I can't eat that stuff. I walked 3 blocks to a salad bar, which skeeves me out as it is. I get back to my office and realize I don't trust the place to wash the lettuce and, hello, E-Coli. So, I'm out $8., wasted half an hour walking through Boston, and I'm still hungry. I can see this working while pregnant thing is going to be inconvenient. :teeth:
