KellyF - there are some great OB's in Manchester, and from what I've heard, both Elliot and CMC are awesome for maternity. I'll be at Concord, just because it's the easist to get to from here. And because, given that I work for the ambulance here, if I somehow manage to go into labor at work, at least I'll get to the same hospital....... Actually, my worst nightmare is one of the people I work with having to deliver the baby. WIth my luck, it will be one of the 23ish year old guys here. I'd rather do it myself :)

Carla - nice ticker. Doesn't it feel great!

Goodnight folks

Jen

Hi Jen....yes, I have heard good things about Elliot - so that makes me feel good. :goodvibes My current OB is out of Dover, NH and associated with Wentworth-Douglas Hospital. Dover is pretty far from Londonderry....Manchester would be much better! The OB I am going to switch to is Bedford Commons - they have offices in Bedford and Derry.

Yes - that would be a bit awkward if one of your co-workers delivered your baby! :bitelip: But hey - at least you would be in good hands with people that truly care about you. :thumbsup2

Elaine, I really hope that everything turns out okay! Thursday still seems like so far away! I will pray for you!

Dh went and bought a First Response sunday night. I took it yesterday morning- there was a light pink line in the positive space! We took the Clear Blue Digital last night and it says pregnant, so we have started telling our families. Actually, DH has told everyone he has seen. I told my family, and 3 people at work, but I am still trying to keep it a little bit of a secret. I will still probably take the other digital test on Friday, just to be sure! I did set up my doctor's appointment for November 9, which seems like it will never come.....
Good luck to everyone testing this upcoming weekend!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

That's such great news & so exciting for you both! Have fun sharing the news with everyone. :teeth:

hey all- outta town and having some strong ovulation cramping. i guess it is nice residual from last month, since i am not on clomid this month due to my lap next week. but dang it hurts. i wonder how many follies i have and am wasting this month. oh well. i hate missing this cycle, but not like DH is here anyways while i am outta town. don't think his sperm could swim quite that far!! lol

bigolive- congratulations to you and DH!!!

Carla- great to see that ticker! yeah!

Becky- sorry to hear about cutting back, i know it can't be easy, but like others said, the baby won't notice and you do what you gotta do. starbucks has free wifi too and i've used the local library lots of times for the free internet. i hope we still get to see you post some.

Elaine- still thinking good thoughts for you

Jen- pass me the tomato soup, i love that stuff!

I am very fortunate in that when my friend recommended our RE- i realized he was literally walking distance from my house, less than a 1/4 mile. so that is great for us. It's quick and easy appts in the morning before work, and then i hardly miss any work. my lap is even going to be right there since his office is connected to a small hospital. i think as long as you have back up plans if your RE/OB is far away, it isn't a problem.

well back to work here in DC, loving the cooler weather out here, sure beats Dallas. plus it doesn't hurt that i am at the army show, looking at all the cute soldiers! :cheer2:

I never read this thread anymore since I know it will make my "baby fever" come back full-force and right now is just not the right time for us to have another baby. I wish it was but I have to focus on school for a little longer first.

Anyway, I heard that Carla was pregnant and had to see if it was true! I am so excited to see that it is! Congratulations, Carla!!! I have been hoping and praying that it would happen for you. I hope the next 9 months are easy and smooth for you. Do you think you are having twins? That would be such a gift after all you've been through. Congrats again! :)

Good luck to anyone and everyone else that is either newly preg. or ttc!

ETA: About the 150 pages thing...I am a 'regular' on the new moms thread (although I don't post nearly as much as I did before I started school) and we are waaayyy past 150 pages and haven't had to start a new thread yet. I wouldn't worry about it unless a WM says to.

Congratulations!!!! pixiedust:

Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and a heathly happy baby :cloud9:

Congrats to all the bfp. Well it is 7 dpo and I have been having cramps. This was such a bad month with all the ultrasounds and bloodwork. We did finally get caught up with the money owed to the urologist which was good now we have to takle Woman and Infants. I know this month is going to be a dozy 4 u/s and 5 bloodwork

BigOlive - Congratulations!!!! That's great! :cool1:

LisaB - are you usually crampy, or is this something new?!?!?!

KellyF - Bedford Commons is awesome. My husband's cousin just started working there as a nurse practitioner, and she loves it there.

Have fun today everyone. We have to drive to CT to tell my husband's grandfather about the baby. He's the only one in the family who doesn't know yet, and we really want to tell him in person. My husband is his only grandson, and this will be his first great grandchild.

Jen

Lisa, cramping can be good. Mine started at 2dp3dt or 5dpo. I think you should get a discount on any BFN cycle. It only seems fair. Then, when you get the BFP, you'll happily pay them. :sunny:

TAKitty, my OB has been my gynecologist for almost 10 years. Before that, I saw his brother who retired to FL.

One thing you can do is look up some places online and check out their L&D. A lot of hospitals will post pictures of the rooms and talk about private rooms and the services they offer. You can find a great doctor, but if the hospital isn't somewhere you'd want to be, it's still not a good situation. Then, when you find a hospital you like, you can look up the doctors/practices and check a few of them out and see who you like.

bigolive, :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Congratulations!!!!!

Jen, oh, that would be terrible. Even though they've seen it all before, they've never seen it on YOU. :) My best friend was an EMT and she got into a car accident and her company responded. Her first thought was "Nooooo....." as they were cutting her clothes off to see if her limbs were broken.

Ugh, Michelle…..that stinks about having to wait until after the lap. I got 5 follicles on an off cycle on Clomid. The stuff just backed up in my system. But, next cycle will be a good chance once the lap is done. But, no walking home after surgery. ;)

Tasha, thank you. :) My doctor said my beta was high and it could be two, but I suspect I had an early implanter since I had symptoms REALLY fast. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks. :goodvibes

Good luck with school. Once that is done, you get to indulge your baby fever. :teeth:

I love the ticker. I went with the funny stuff....might as well laugh. :teeth: I cancelled my trips to Super Soap and CA. I wanted to keep them in case somthing happened, but figured I could always schedule more trips. Both my doctors said I could go, but I hate to fly and I usually need alcohol or pills. Plus, I'm almost 6ft tall and sitting all cramped on a plane just doesn't sound appealing to me. The holidays are coming up, so it's not like it'll be boring around here.

Ghost Hunters starts tonight!

Cramping and soft poop is usually signs of AF for me but this is kind of early to be getting those symptoms

Carla -- so happy to see you have a ticker!!

Enjoy every minute.

Now it is my turn -- I want a ticker too!!!!! (implantation probably happening 2nd week of January so 3 months to go - maybe I can make a ticker for that!)

******

Just a quick note right now as it is only my 2nd day back at work after a 3 week absence and I am swamped...so my apoliges to those that I miss...

Elaine -- still sending you good thoughts and prayers - sounds like things are looking better!

Beck -- we will miss you on this board especially since you are our founder -- but sounds like you and your husband have your head on your shoulders and know your priorties and are doing everything right to get over this tough bump right now - good luck.

Bigolive -- congrats!!

LisaB -- here is hoping that the cramping means something good!!! I am thinking of you!

Everyone else -- have a great day - have fun baby dancing and/or good luck during your 2ww!!

********

Have a good day guys!

-Nicole

Congratulations! I'm excited for you! I hope we all see it soon! I learned how to figure your due date in nursing school:

Take the first day of your last period, add 7 days, then subtract 3 months! So when are you due?

Jen - thanks for the word on Bedford Commons! It is always nice to hear good things about a place you are going for the first time! :thumbsup2 Especially from someone who works there and likes it! ;) Have fun your your trip to CT! My grandfather always tells me that I am his only shot at being a great-grandfather (I am the oldest grandchild and the only one married!). I can't wait to see his face when I tell him I am pregnant! (Whenever it happens! :sunny: )

I'm new to all this - but, has anyone else had trouble signing up at fertilityfriend? I've tried twice now over the last few days & keep getting a message that they can't approve me for an account. This is after I pick a screenname/nickname, input my email address & answer how I was directed to the site - Any ideas anyone?

Hmmmm....not sure? :confused3 I have had an account for a few months, and have been able to log-in (as of yesterday). Sorry I can't help!

I haven't posted for about a week I think. No news still. I am 8 weeks past my last period after quitting BC, and STILL no period. Trying very hard not to get frustrated. Even took a low-dose hormone for 5 days to try and kick-start AF. NOTHING! :confused3

We so desperately want to get pregnant, and we can't even try yet! :rotfl:

DH doesn't mind the "practice" BDing though ;)

Congrats to all the new BFP's and hopefully I will have some good news. Like "I'm finally ovulating!" hehe
