Becky -- that sounds ten degrees worse than absolutely HORRIBLE! But good that things are starting to turn around! Yay for not puking for three weeks!

Ally -- can you find a new lab? This one seems to be full of people who missed out in the line for BRAINS! Yikes! Also, I totally concur about feeling "adult" now -- the marriage, the new house, the mortgage? That didn't do it for me. But stop my pills and all of a sudden I feel like a "big girl" now!

Michelle -- SOOOOOOOOOO cute! He's darling!

Well, things here are good. I'm still doing WW while we're TTCing, and I've had a good week so far. Weigh in is tomorrow night, so hopefully I'll be down again (was down 1.4 lbs last week! YAY!)

Hey Bek - so glad to hear from you ... we were all thinking of you!!

I am so sorry to hear that the last 3 months were that rough...sounds like things are on the upswing though and we could not be happier for you!

Glad you checked in here...

******************************
Carla -- sorry for all the crap you are going through -- you are always in my thoughts!

******************************

Exwdwcm -- glad to hear about the follicles -- good luck!!

******************************

Jen in NH -- NO jumping!!! Keep that little one healthy and safe! Hope things are going well for you!

******************************

Everyone else -- Hi!! Hope everyone is well. Baby dust to all.

******************************

No real news on my end...we leave for Disney on Sunday - so excited I just cannot wait. Probably having gallbladder surgery at end of September. Still have not written my insurance appeal yet which means that even if I wrote it and mailed it today we would not have an answer until mid-Oct and even if that answer was yes (ins. appeal granted) we would most likely not do the retrieval until December anyway so I have pretty much rationalized it to myself that I can just wait until January for the retrieval! I am a terrible person!

My egg donor knows the scoop about insurance though and is willing to wait until January...thank god!

******************************

Have a great day girls!!

~Nicole

Hi everybody!

Carla, you need a different lab. Apparently they have one brain for everyone, and it's not working well.

Nicole - Have a great vacation!

Becky - glad you're feeling better. Welcome back! When do you find out boy or girl?

So, wish me luck today. My first OB appointment, and I'm scared to death. You'd think this would be exciting, but I'm just waiting for everything to crash down around me. Hmm, usually I'm not so pessimistic :guilty: But I'll feel better once this is over!

Jen

Hi ladies...

As soon as my three week wait is over (two more weeks to go), my hubs and I will be trying again for a baby. I'm switching to another OB office, as my experience with this miscarriage was absolutely horrible. My doctor did a d&c last week, and did not get all of the tissue, so I actually went into labor on Saturday. The "waves of pain" I was describing in another post were contractions. I am so absolutely disgusted with that doctor's office, I couldn't bear the thought of going through another m/c with those idiots.

Anywho, I'm just waiting to see when my period will start, then we can start the cycle all over again.

I'm sorry for all you've been through :grouphug:

Stephanie I am so sorry about the doctor after all the bull you went through with the nurses and now this. Hopefully the wait will not be too bad.

Jen Good luck with the ultrasound

Carla You need a new lab sooooonnnnnn!!!!!!!

Good to see you back Becky and glad the ms is going away.

Italian classes are going well. I can ask for coffee, beer pastry and excuse me in Italian. It is so funny that the way I pronounce my last name Bianco is totally wrong as are so many of the other Italian words we say in Rhode Island

Jen, I hope everything goes (went?) great at your u/s. Let us know how it all goes.

Stephanie, I'm so happy you're getting a new OB. Maybe you could go in for a gynecology visit to feel them out before you commit. :) Maybe some people in your area could recommend someone.

Lisa, asking for beer is essential. Did you decide to take the Alaskan cruise? I grew up in Eastie and, at the time, it was all Italian. I learned lots of...um....useful phrases growing up. Hey, they're useful now that I spend so much time in my car!

Nicole, Sunday! Awesome!! Might as well have fun and push everything aside for the vacation. It'll all be here when you get back. You can come back refreshed and write that letter.

Ms.Explorer, oh, yeah, homeownership didn't make me feel adult (I wanted to go back to my parents' the first time something broke and I didn't know who to call to fix it), but not refilling the birth control pills was a huge milestone. Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow.

Michelle, what a cutie! Everyone says to spend time with their kids and we won't want them anymore, but holding that little one must have just made you want one even more.

My RE called me back early today. I suppose to make up for yesterday's fiasco. I have abandonment issues. I told her I was just going to do the 150 and call her in the morning. She said never to do that and always page her. 'K. The E2 was fine. I didn't ask for a number. She didn't offer a number. She did say to keep up with 100 tonight and 100 tomorrow night and go back on Thursday. So, since she doesn't want to see me tomorrow, I took that as a positive. I'm in a boatload of pain. I've been popping codeine all day. These follicles are killers. I'll get to see them Thursday. :thumbsup2

Stephanie- so sorry for your loss! i wish you all the best. i agree, try out a new ob and test the waters. i hate that you had such a horrible experience.

Nicole- have an awesome time with the mouse! how long are you guys staying and where at? :wizard:

Mrsexplorer - good luck with your WW! i think it is a good program, i have lots of friends that have been very successful with it. i will probably try it after we finally have a baby to lose the baby weight! here's hoping! lol

DMickey- sorry to hear abou the bad m/s, i hope it passes soon

Becky- hope the 3 month mark is magic for you and you start feeling better.

well just finished IUI #2, our second month of trying it out (with clomid only). I've had severe cramping this time around, but i think it is just because i have 7 follies again (turns out there are 7, not 6 like i thought)- and one is gigantic! so i feel like a whale right now too. I've popped some tylenol, but that's all they allow me to take. This IUI went better, she remember my 'narrow cervix' problem and said again that, that is probably our issue. She could barely get the catheder in without pushing hard, no way his sperm can make it in there on their own probably. so hopefully this one works! i'm praying for one or two! twins would rock! :cheer2: :rotfl2:

go in for sono tomorrow to check for ovulation and do bloodwork next tuesday to make sure prog is still good. so far it was good this time, no need for prog meds.

Michelle -- here's hoping for some wonderful pixie dust for you!

WW is great -- I did it before our wedding last year and lost nearly 30 lbs. But, marriage is "comfortable", even if my clothes no longer are! :rotfl: So, back at it. It's easier and harder at the same time this time around, since I know it works...I jsut want it to work FASTER!

Thank goodness the workday is almost done -- it's been a looooonnnnggg one! :hourglass

LOL...I love your siggy pic! Did you DH turn around on purpose??

Hi Ladies! I've been in and out of this thread for a while. I went off of my BCP in June. Nothing yet. I know it hasn't been that long, but for some reason this morning, when AF arrived, I was REALLY sad. I haven't been able to sleep the past few nights knowing that today was probably the day. I haven't actively been doing anything to make sure we're trying at the right time, but after how sad I'm feeling this morning, I think I'm ready to do that. DS was a nice suprise for us, so actually TTC is new to me. All of our friends and family keep bugging us about another baby since DS turned 3 in July and we just bought a new house....that's so annoying! After following some of your stories, I'm not sure if I belong here just yet, but I'd like to have others to share my ups and downs with during this journey. Yes, I have my DH, but I think most of this "scientific" stuff would just be TMI for him! I'm not sure if I need to start charting my temp yet or wait a little longer and see how things go.

Good luck to all of you!

hahaha! :rotfl:

Mickey took him, turned him around and made him face the corner while all this transpired! It was hilarious! Thankfully there were two CMs in the room, one with our camera, and one with the Photopass camera. The picture in my siggy is the one from our camera -- the Photopass one didn't capture the full effect of DH facing the corner!

I think it's one of my favourites from our honeymoon!

---

Hope everyone is doing well.

Skuttle -- We're getting the "When are you having kids?" schtick too from everyone -- family, friends, coworkers. We've been married just over a year, and have been in a new house since the end of April. Apparently, everyone thinks it's past time that we start trying. But, we not necessarily sharing that we're trying just yet.

I know that we probably won't get pregnant this month (since it's my first month after the pill and who knows just how out of wack my system is!) but I can't help but hope. I'm not charting or anything, but DH seems to think we should be doing that too. I figure, we'll just go with the flow for a few months and then see about temping etc... But, just in case, does anyone know where to get a good BBT thermometer? I checked out our drugstore and didn't see anything with the regular ones...perhaps I was looking in the wrong spot?

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to pop by and say Hi to all. I am still keeping up with all your stories, but, nothing really new on this end. Have 7 more weeks of BCP then I am DONE and it will be officially time to start TTC!

Baby Dust and hugs to all. :grouphug:

well did the follow up sono today after our IUI yesterday. i ovulated 4 eggs out of the 7 follicles i had. just like last month. so here's to hoping! :thumbsup2 :wizard:

My dr told me the first month off bcp is often the most fertile, and cause some people to ovulate twice resulting in twins. I think you can get a BBT thermometer anywhere - aren't they just regular digital thermometers?

Does anyone here know if it is also true that the first 3 months after a m/c you are more fertile? If so, why is this true?

I finally got af after a little over 4 weeks and I feel so much better about my m/c now. DH and I are going to start TTC this weekend. I am so excited! :goodvibes The past month has gone by so slowly waiting for af but she's finally here.

Everyone please pray for me that I get pregnant fast and end up with a healthy baby this time. :cloud9:

I got my BBT thermometer at WalMart. It's pink and was on the aisle with the pregnancy tests.

I got pg my first month off of the pill. I have heard that some women who have trouble conceiving are put on the pill for a few months and then taken off. I lost my first pregnancy but we started trying again after my first normal AF and I got pg on my 2nd month trying (had D&C on Dec. 26, conceived on March 29).

msexplorer - I think you can use any thermometer. I may have gotten a special one from my RE to make it easier to see the lower temperatures, but I am pretty sure a regular thermometer will work. I wonder if your Gyn's office has them.

I know lots of people whogot PG shortly after a m/c and went on to have healthy successful Pg's. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you.

exwdwcm - If you have quads, I think at least one of them should be named after the DIS, or after this thread. Good thoughts coming your uterus's way!

Ack! Twins?!! That's it....the BDing is CALLED OFF for this month! :rotfl:

I don't know about the thermometers -- we have a digital one, but I thought the BBT ones had two decimal places, instead of one. I'll check near the pregnancy tests next time I'm in the drug store or Walmart.

Also, my temperature is usually pretty low (97.3 ish). Do you think I'll still be able to track it and notice a change during O?
