Hi LAdies,

I haven't checked in for a very long time. Haven't even een on the Dis since 7/28...

Nothing new here. Still trying to lose weight, I've lost 8, 42 more to go.

Carla, curious to see if your blood work comes back with the same clotting disoder as I have.... Glad you are enjoying the acupuncture.

Nicole, I'm sorry about the insurance company... but you have your donor!!! :goodvibes

Lisa, glad you're still hang in there.

Where's Kristy? Is she okay?

I married grumpy, everything happens for a reason. Maybe DH will find a better job? Did they give him a severance package and continue the insurance for a while at least? If it comes to it, and you do get a BFP, maybe you could look into Medicare and some public assistance?? I know, its hard to do, but if you need that what its there for, until you are back on your feet. You should also look into WIC if you are PG. They will provide you with some food and formula.

Oops, I also wanted to welcome the new folks and I think it was Melissa who hoped for a sticky baby... :wizard: :wizard: Here you are..

Best of luck to everyone. :grouphug: :grouphug:

:) I'm here, I've just been lurking and keeping up with everyone. I have to see my doctor tomorrow at 2:30 so I'll have more news then in what my next steps will be. Aunt Flo was kind of here two weeks ago and today she has tried make a tiny appearance. I think it's my bodies way of flushing out all the IVF meds.

Congrats on losing 8 pounds!!

Imarriedgrumpy..I'm sorry to hear that your dh was laid off.

Congrats to all the new BFP's out there!! This thread really is a good luck charm :) I'm sending sticky dust to you all.

Welcome to the new ladies!! Feel free to ask any and all questions.

LOL Carla!! I agree that it's hard to test 22 viles of blood without finding one anomally. Glad to hear that you're enjoying the acupuncture.

Sorry that I'm not mentioning everyone. Work is crazy busy so I really only get a chance to lurk right now and post rarely unless it's a quick line about something silly like Big Brother. Hugs and Love to all of you!!!

Welcome Kelly!! I hope your journey to mommy-hood is a short one! There is a lot of information in this thread and we are here to help you! Fire away with your questions!

Carla - I am so sorry the Met is making you so sick! ICKY! How much longer do you need to be on it?

ImarriedGrumpy - if you do get a BFP, things will work out. They always do :O) I hope DH gets an even better job offer! My Dh was laid off when DS was 4 months old. He stayed home with him for 4 months and then found a great job with great benefits. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Kristy - I hope you are ok! AF is such a witch, no?

My second beta came back today - 1266! It was 198 5 days ago, so it is doubling nicely! I have one more beta on Thursday and then if that looks good, I will have ultrasound #1 next week!! I have knots in my tummy just thinking about it!!!

Carla - I just had 12 viles of blood taken to try to find out why I M/c last time. And I still have to go back for Chromosome testing. I understand your pain.

I am starting feel a little funky today but I am fighting a really bad cold or sinus infection. I am not sure which but I can't tell if that's making me naseaus or the baby.... I should learn how to spell that word! I have lived with so much stress in the past that I can live with nausea from here to next week but I can't handle throwing up!!!

DMIckey28 - I have had the same problems with my sinuses for the last 4 weeks, and it is driving me nuts. I don't really get nausea, but the sinus drainage makes me feel like I need to throw up most of the time. Luckily I am able to eat and keep most of my food down. I hope this clears up for you quicker!

Congrats to all the other new BFPs, and good luck to everyone still ttc. Here's some pixie dust for sticky baby's! :wizard: :wizard:

Hi everone I talked to the doctor's office today and she said if I don't get AF by Thursday come in Friday for blood work. I Married Grumpy--Everthing happens for a reason and sometimes we need to just put it in our higher power's hands. Update with Maria the little girl whom we were watching while her father was in Canada. Dad can't get back into the US because of his visa status. Mom wants her to go back to China but Maria's passport has expired and children under 14 get new passports not renewed ones. Mom is going to try to go to NY to get a new one but both parents have to be there to get it so unless she forges Lou's (fa) signature and gets it notorized they will not give Maria a passport. Dad doesn't want Maria to go back to China and Mom is making it very difficult right now Maria is with friend's of the Mom and I have just had it with the situation. Mom is refusing to let Dad talk to her and Mom works long hours . We love Maria like she is our own but I can't go through the stress

I wanted to share my story and hopefully by talking about it with others I can start to heal and think more positively.

I am 34, married, my periods are irregular, and have never been pregnant before or tried. My DH and tried only one month, and I took a hpt and it was positive. I went to the dr the next day for a blood test and that was positive. I couldn't believe it! We had 2 u/s and on the 1st one we couldn't see the baby because it was too early (5 weeks). Then on the 2nd u/s (7 weeks), we saw the baby and the heartbeat. It was amazing! My nurse told me I could go ahead and tell everyone because the baby looked great and the heartbeat was normal. Then about 5 days later, I was shopping and I felt something that felt like a period but I knew it couldn't possibly be. I came home and went to the bathroom and had a small amount of blood in my underwear. It wasn't very heavy, just like when you first get your period. I had read that some women do bleed a little, so I tried not to panic. I called my dr and went over immediately for an u/s, and they said there was no heartbeat, no movement. I was technically 8 weeks, but from the u/s I was a little over 7. I am totally devastated now, and the only people that know that I was even pregnant are my parents and dh's parents, so it's really hard because I have nobody to talk to. It's also really hard because I have never been pregnant before. I have heard that your chances for a m/c go down to about 2% after seeing the heartbeat, so I am really shocked and upset. It was a total nightmare and then I had to m/c naturally the following night so that was also very traumatic.

I cannot help but think I did something to lose my baby. I feel so guilty even though I'm sure it was nothing I did.

We are going to start ttc again after taking 1 month off, but I am now obsessed with being pregnant again, although I am sooo scared.

I would love to hear from anyone that has had similar experiences or anyone who would just like to talk.

To make matters even worse, one of my good friends called today to let me know she is 6 weeks pregnant. Unbelivable. My heart is aching.

Thanks for letting me get that out.

Mickeybar,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know that everyone's pain is different, and we all feel things differently, but I think I can understand how you feel. The first time I got pregnant I miscarried a set of twins at 11.5 weeks, although they stopped growing a couple of weeks before that. I was so shocked - DH and I never even considered that something like that could happen.

You did NOTHING to cause your miscarriage. It isn't your fault, and it also doesn't mean that it will happen again. Your odds of going on to have a healthy baby are excellent!

I also know what you mean about the trauma of the acutal natural miscarriage. The amount of pain and bleeding was so scary, and there is no way that someone could understand unless it has happened to them.

After my miscarriage, I went on to have a beautiful, healthy and perfect daughter who is now 2.

Unfortunately, I had two losses after that. I am now pregnant again, not quite six weeks, and everything is on track so far, although I will admit that I am very very scared of another loss.

Also unfortunately, there are quite a few ladies on this thread who have had miscarriages. We are here for you! :grouphug:

Please - if you ever want to "talk", PM me. You don't have to go through this alone.

mickybar ~ I am sorry to hear. I am so tenative with this pregnancy. I had a very early mc in May, my period was only a few days late but I had BFP's. I know that the chances of anything happening this time around are low, but I am so scared.... to be honest, it is shadowing the joy I should be feeling. Hugs....

Imarriedgrumpy ~ Things do happen for a reason. DH and I started TTC in December when we lived in IL. He was doing very good in his job and I was happy with mine. Well between May and July, suddenly he got a "better" job offer and we moved to S Florida. The inital pay was lower, but his future is brighter. Now we are here and 4wks pregnant. Who knows if this job is the "the Job"... but I have faith that everything will work out. Our goal is for me to stay home when the baby is born and I may be able to do that, if not it's ok if I have to go back for a little while. Everything will work out...

Mickeybar  You're welcome to vent here anytime. We're all here as a support group for each other.

Lisa I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that Aunt Flo doesn't show up :)

DMickey & Laurel

I went for my consultation this afternoon. My doctor really is great. She looked at all of the test results and we discussed everything going on. She still wants to do the Laparoscopy to see what my ovaries look like and see if there is any scar tissue around then. So I'm scheduled to go in for that on September 8th. The next two weeks will be more down time to rest and try to get back in the healthy eating wagon ;)

Hugs and much love to all!!

I had a similar experience 2 years ago. I found out I was pregnant 40 days (May) after my last period. Went through the blood tests and all that bs. Went to the dr for the first time at 7 weeks and heard a heartbeat and got a sono picture. The dr said the baby was measuring small but that everything was great. We scheduled our next appt for 6 weeks later. On with life everyone knows and I am starting to go into maternity clothes. We go to vegas the weekend of the 15th of July and I started to spot. So I called into the dr and they said that if it wasn't combined with cramping not to worry. So I don't. Get a whole wardrobe for maternity start buying baby things. I am 12 weeks along by now. And I get home from vegas go to bed and wake in the middle of the night to find large amounts of blood on the sheets. I am rushed to the ER and I was having a m/c. They baby had died at 7w. They think it drowned in the fluids because my body was producing to much fluid. I continued to grow until my body rid it at 12 weeks. So I hear you loud and clear.

Kim

Wow, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! Keep us updated.

lil mermaid, mickey bar and others....so sorry for your losses. i haven't suffered a m/c, but am deathly afraid of one. you ladies are super strong, that's for sure. i know it can't be easy. i really admire your strength getting through it all.

well just went in to have bloodwork done. it's been a week since the IUI, so about to start week 2 of the 2WW. luckily, i get to do it at Disney! we are leaving in a few hours for orlando. at least that will help with stressing! i was also cleared to ride everything by the doctor. i'll probably still skip a few things just for personal preference to be safe like RnR etc. So we get to test on August 26th, right after we return from disney! i'll post then and keep you guys posted!! off to vacation- you ladies have a great weekend :wizard:  :sunny: :cool1:

Hi everyone!

LisaB - did you have the beta today? Here's hoping!

Kristy - Good luck with the laproscopy. Hopefully it helps.

ExWDWCM - Have a great trip! That's an excellent way to pass a 2ww. I'll suggest it to DH.

MickeyBar, Kimntrent, Lil Mermaid - I'm so sorry for all of your losses. :grouphug:

So I'm on week 2 of the famous 2ww. If the chart is right, we did the deed on exactly the right days, so maybe.... If it's any indication, I feel like dirt. I'm lucky if water stays down today, and last night was no better. It's probably just a virus, but I keep hoping it's something more. We're going on a cruise next month, so with my luck, I'll end up pregnant before that so I can puke my way through vacation. It'll be the best puking ever!!!

Have a good weekend girls!!

Jen

My beta came back negative. The nurse who called me was "Not to be an idiot but why did you come in for bloodwork???" She wants to do a progesterone level on the bloodwork because the beta really doesn't show anything it might be too early to test. These months are all over the place lets see 34 day 28 days my favorite 21 days. I just don't know what to do Kevin is no help. Even my couselor is like have you thought about adoption??? Yeah Not to be selfish but that isn't what I want to do.

The nurse asked WHY you came in for blood work? Doing progesterone is smart, I guess to make sure you ovulated, but what kind of answer was she looking for with that question?!? I would have said, "I came in to absorb your fabulous personality."

Why do people bring up adoption like we've never heard of it? We KNOW we can adopt. It's not a secret only they know.

I'm sorry the test was negative. :grouphug: Did they say what was next?
