Kevin and I have been trying for quite a while. We have been married 10 years. We have a daughter Diana who is 7 going on 47. We were suppose to start fertility meds when my mom got sick with brain cancer. She died 10 months later and started on Clomid in July of 04. Nothing was happening so we went to the infertilty specialist last November and we started with clomid and iui. We did that for 4 cycles with a couple of months off We started in January and skipped April. We were in WDW at time of ovulation. We did two cycles of iui with hcg and started inhections last month. I am 38 and dh Kevin is 39. I had an abortion when I was 25 before kevin. I am still not quite sure because of my age. I am so afraid of downs or siamese twins I guess because of them being in the news

Lisa ~ I am sorry to hear about your mom. TTC is such a rough journey. I know, compaired to others, I have it easier, but it's all relative. We have been TTC since December of last year. I think it took me about 6 months to get off the BCP's really. I had an early M/C in May, got a BFP at 10 DPO and it didn't get brighter at all and I never got a BFP on a digital. AF was due on Thursday 14 DPO but came two days late. I have always been like clockwork and that didn't change, just started on Saturdays now instead of Thursday. This month was seriously one of those "taking a break" cycles. We had been in the process of moving between Memorial day and July 4th... then we were out of town on my O date...

I had an abortion when I was 20 and I can't help but feel so guilty and worried about this PG. I pray that we have a sticky baby now.... I haven't told many people IRL, just my mom and best friend. I do think it's better to have the support though if anything did happen.

I hope your time comes soon. I wouldn't worry at all about the Siamese Twins, I think that is so rare.... Relatively you still have time...

How is everyone else doing - hope everyone had a good weekend!

Nothing new on my end to report -- things are progressing with our egg donor. I still have to write my stupid insurance appeal (how can donor retrieval not be covered? arrgh!!) but I just did not feel like it this weekend.

still feeling so bloated! i did our post IUI sonogram- and it showed out of the 7 follies- we had 4 eggs ovulate. a 5th release an egg, but it was the huge one that measured over 40mm, so no chance of that one working. but 4 out of 7 ain't bad. hopefully there aren't quads in there! i'd be happy with 1 or 2. guess i need to forget riding TOT or RnR next week. We leave Friday. what do you guys think I should skip ride-wise at WDW? I love riding everything (thrill seeker!).. I am going to ask the doc on Friday before we leave on his suggestions.

Michelle - Only +++++ thoughts for you! I bet your oddly placed cervix was the cause and we will be seeing a nice BFP in the next few weeks!! Which one are you in your picture? All 3 are so pretty!!!

DMickey - CONGRATS!! Sounds like we have had the same year - early m/c in May, only got with my DH one time last month and got a nice BFP on 14dpo this month. I had my second beta this morning and I should know how my numbers are doing tomorrow afternoon. INcredibly nauseated today, though. Loving every minute of it! What is your edd? Guessing around 4/20, right?

I hope the rest of you are doing well. Where is everyone at in their cycle??

I actually went to WDW during the 1st week of my 2ww and rode everything except TOT and M:S. (So basically I rode all the "mountains"). Next thing I know... BFP. Just ask your Dr and use your better judgement. If you look at a ride and your head/heart says no just don't do it. It will be there next time you go

wow, thanks for sharing the info. i am kinda bummed thinking i will miss my first chance to ride EE. but DH said this morning that i better err on the side of caution and if something happened, i couldn't complain later since i put us at risk. plus $700 out the window on the treatments. so i can't decide what I want to do yet. it is only going to be the second week of the 2WW. most people don't even know they are pregnant yet and are drinking up a storm (not that i will be drinking!). and really the roads here in dallas are much bumpier and jerky than some of those rides! I am in good health, healthy weight etc.

so it's a toss up. i'll be definitely skipping RnR, ToT, primeval whirl and at least and mission space. i wonder if the no spin version is okay to try? i don't see how splash mtn could hurt. thanks for sharing your experience. i am definitely chatting with the doc friday to get his advice. i hate to miss my chance at EE, but i don't want to do anything risky either.

If you do decide to ride EE, don't sit at either end since it goes both backwards and forwards and you would get the brunt of the forces in either direction. I sat in the middle, and while you feel it, it's not quite as much as at the ends.
Like I said, it will be there the next time you go (and you can enjoy the baby swap ) and you won't have to wonder if you did anything.
As far as the drinking....I did have 1 pina colada at Ohanas. It's my fave! If I go back in October I wil have to get a virgin one b/c it's just so good!

I see you were a CP! I was there a year and a 1/2 later (but at MK). Where did you work? One of my good friends worked at GMR Spring 98

Welcome to our group. There is alot of information here to absorb from all. Some of us are usuing iui (artificial insemiation) some are at the point of IVF ( invetro) and others are looking at egg donors

Hi everyone,

Well I got a BFP last week. I went to the doc and had betas taken on Tues and Friday, and got the results today. They say everything looks good. Still - it is hard for me to be optimistic because I have had three miscarriages (the last one this past April.) I feel like I am not ready to move on to the Moms to be board yet. I also haven't told ANYONE about this pregnancy (well, except for DH of course.)

Exwdwcm - honestly, I don't think you could do any harm by riding anything at WDW while you are still in the 2ww. I'd still ask your doctor, and if something doesn't feel right to you, don't do it.

Congrats D Mickey, lots of sticky baby dust to you.

Minnesota, I think I already congratulated you, but if I didn't - congrats!

Do you have any reason to think that you have a fertility problem? Or are you just trying to maximize your chances? If it is the latter, I would recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility."

I don't know all that much about infertility treatment (my problem is not getting pregnant, it is staying pregnant. ) There are a few experts on this board, though.

I worked at Hollywood and Vine cafeteria at MGM from about August 1996 til Jaunary 1997. It was just breakfast/lunch cafeteria style back then. I had a horrendous cafeteria lady costume complete with hairnet. It was a hard job, especially when two of my roommates were uh....'friends' with characters. one was buzz in the toy story parade (lifted up onto the float!) everyday. no fair!

where did you work? I still keep in touch with my old roomies- one is a disney wedding planner now and one works as the mad scientist in the kodak pavilion at journey into imagination pavilion.

Minnesota ~ I thought I was confused. I remember you had a BFP in May, I lost touch. I am sorry to hear what happened. The compturized due dates online say 4/21 but when you do the math it is 4/22, either way, close enough!! Good Luck for a sticky baby... I nicknamed my baby HOPE.... I am starting feel a little funky today but I am fighting a really bad cold or sinus infection. I am not sure which but I can't tell if that's making me naseaus or the baby.... I should learn how to spell that word! I have lived with so much stress in the past that I can live with nausea from here to next week but I can't handle throwing up!!! I haven't had beta's done. We are waiting for our new insurance to kick in on 9/1 and I don't want to kick in Cobra unless I have to. I figure since I am getting sxs then things are going ok.... 3.5 weeks till my first appointment! :!

Hi Everyone! Congrats to all the BFP's!!! That's so awesome!

And welcome, kellymouse! I've been learning a ton from the women on this thread, and it's been a great place to vent when I've needed to.

I was going to post good news - DH has agreed that it's time to start TTC, and we have started the BD without the BC...

But today DH came home from work early, and announced he'd been laid off at work today. They cut 35 people from his department. So even with Cobra (which will still be expensive), our health insurance is now in the sketchy category, and we don't know when DH will be able to find another job, so we're going to have to put the baby making on hold for a while. I wish I could say that we've got a chance of this weekend's BD-ing to work, but I know I Ov'd last Wed. Sure, there could be some 1 in 1000 chance that something odd happened, but I'm not holding my breath for that. Sigh. Just when he was ready to get the family started, this happens.

Well, I'll keep hanging around here and cheering ya'll on, and in the mean time hopefully DH will quickly find a new job and we can get the move on with the baby making...

Welcome, kellymouse....Taking Charge of Your Fertility is really good. It's very informative and helpful - not just for getting pregnant quicker, but learning your cycles so you don't get caught in a white bathing suit when it's that time of the month.

IMarriedGrumpy....I'm so sorry about DH's job. Are they going to rehire people, or is the job gone for good? I hope he finds something better soon. My friend once told me that you're pregnant for 9 long, agonizing months and a lot can change in that time.


I'm still miserable from the Metformin. I just had to take a pill for my stomach to try and peel myself away from the bathroom long enough to go see my counselor. I have to leave here in an hour. I ate one Kashi waffle with all natural peanut butter and I've been sick since I ate it at 6am. I'm just not tolerating it. I've been on 1,000mg/day for over a week now and I'm sick all the time and barely eating.

I got my insurance approval in the mail. Once less thing to freak out about.

Acupuncture is going well. I finally find it relaxing.

I'm still waiting for my blood results to come back. They should be in next week sometime. I figure odds are in my favor that something is wrong. You don't test 22 tubes of blood and not find something. Nobody is perfect.

Hmmm...new update...I might just be in the 2ww...

I'm still charting, and I've been using FertilityFriend to record my data. Well, it was showing O on last Wed, but it changed that today to be Saturday, and we did BD that day, so according to FF, I'm now in the 2ww!

With DH just laid off yesterday, I don't think I'll tell him unless AF doesn't show. To be honest, even though I know that money and health care are going to be issues for the next several months, I really, really hope we get a BFP! I feel bad for still wanting a baby when it will stress DH out to the extreme, but I just want this so much!
