Howdy Ladies!

Nicole, that's great about your beta numbers! Congrats again! :)

Skuttle, glad your pooch is okay. Our dog is oh so very important to us, and so far we have been lucky with no surgery or injuries! The worse thing we've had to go through with her was putting her on a 10 hour transatlantic flight! Not sure who was more upset about the deal, us or her:rotfl2:

IMG, I know what you mean about it not being your month. FF couldn't pinpoint an O day for me, they said sometime between CD9 and CD 17. Greeeaaattt. And I am finding a bit harder too to work with kids too (I am an early childhood trainer). Never used to bother me, in fact, at the end of the day when I got to go home to my hubby, my dog, and my corona I was oh so happy I didn't have children of my own. I would do the happy dance on the way out the door:woohoo: But now that we are ttc, well, it's a different story!

I am in the 2ww now, although, I suspect it will be over soon, not too much suspense for me this month. Today is CD 23 and I am spotting, and last month my cycle was only 25 days. I have a Dr appointment for something else on Monday, but I will bring it up with my doc since it will be (by then) the start of my 7th cycle. I'm not too worried yet, but with the short luteal phase last month and no O date pin pointed this month, time to start asking some questions.

Anyways, hope everyone is having a nice week and a quick 2ww :thumbsup2

:flower3:

Nicole: Congrats on your numbers!!! All this is still a little greek to me, but that number sounds big:cool1: You did not freak me out at all. Thanks to all of you for your great advice. I called my doctor and requested the test. Someone should call me back about it tomorrow. I'm a little extra sensitive about this b/c my mom went through early menopause and had infertility issues too. My type A personality isn't going to let it go so... it's just a little blood test.

Rebecca: I'm so sorry you had the PMS on speed. That's a very good description. Mine's pretty much stopped now that I am OTP. I had a little one last night for the first time in @ 3 weeks and I got AF today so I am hoping that's a good sign.

Mindy and IMG and everyone else in the 2WW (Sorry-still getting the names strait): Sending lots of pixie dustpixiedust:

Skuttle: I hope Milo continues to do well.

Snow White Welcome!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

AF has arrived. Now I get to start charting tomorrow. I'm so excited!

Princess Tinkerbell (??Jennifer??) -- I am really glad that you called about getting the test - I think it will put your mind at ease -- I don't know if that type of thing has a herediatary component but since your mom went through it - I think it is a great idea to check yourself out -- have you talked to your mom about it? Maybe she can help!

I completely hear you about being a type A personality -- me too - I do so much research on everything I think I know more than the doctors now - of course - part of my anxiety is caused by "too much knowledge" - my husband keeps telling me it is better sometimes to be ignorant so I am not so stressed out.

That is not me though - I am all about the research, questions, and double checking.

It is perfect too that AF just started --- stay on your doctor's office - because you HAVE to do the FSH test on Cycle Day 3 --- assuming AF started today -- DEMAND the test on Friday!!!

Good luck with everything. And remember - the squeaky wheel gets the grease - so don't take no for an answer with your doctor's office!!

-Nicole

Thanks everyone! Milo is home with his little bandaged foot. He limps and it looks SO uncomfortable! I feel so sorry for him. We go back on Monday for a check up and then in 10 days they remove the stitches. We're supposed to keep the bandage clean/dry, so they said to put a bag over his foot to go outside. Milo has NEVER allowed us anywhere near his paws, so I'm not sure how that will work out!

Nothing new here on the TTC front. Just waiting...CD 26 for me.

BTW...my real name is Allison. I'm not sure if I've mentioned that before. I don't keep it in my signature, but that's my name. :)

I just can't believe I am 5 weeks pregnant!
Hugs,
Nicole

I can't wait to experience that. :sad1: I just hope I'm one of the blessed ones to get pregnant quickly. I don't know if I have in me what a lot of you ladies have who needed help in conceiving from doctors and such. I'm 37 years old, soon to be 38 in July. Would love to have a second one by time I'm 40 assuming the first one comes while I'm still 38 or even 39. I don't mean to say anything to offend anyone...I just get nervous at times because of my age. I've heard of many of women having their first at 40...one I even heard having her first at 42! :faint: I won't mind being an older mother at all. Hopefully, I'll have more to offer and teach my child.

Blessings and best wishes to all you mommies to be! :flower3: Especially you Nicole!

Nicole those are awesome numbers! I cannot wait to hear about your u/s when you go in. Seeing a heartbeat is an amazing thing

Jennifer, I will actually completely disagree with the advice on cutting back activities now. Major changes in activity levels can mess with hormones. I would just keep at what you are doing now. Not sure how much you would have to cut back while pregnant either. My doc always said if you aren't doing high imact aerobics, there is ntohing to worry about. You are healthier and wiser to keep activity levels up as long as you can.

Allison, I am soo glad that Milo is doing okay. I am sure he looks more pathetic than he feels. I hope you get your results soon  Good luck with the paw though... hopefully with it bandaged up, you can get it on easier.

Nicole, I can't wait for your u/s. I was so scared, I nearly threw up on the table. The woman said, "Are you worried about having two?" I said, "No! I'm scared there won't be any!" :) Now, I look at the picture of that Gummi Bear and can't believe that's the thing that's now booting me in the bladder.

Allison, I'm happy Milo is doing well. It's horrible when animals get hurt or sick. You can't explain to them what's happening and why and they look at you for help. :sad1: I'll be hoping for a quick recovery. :goodvibes

Jennifer, I agree with Nicole. I'm so happy my GYN didn't blow me off when I brought up my concerns. My family doctor kept telling me "it's normal". I didn't think it was normal for cycles to get WORSE after BCP. I was able to start testing/treatment early on instead of wasting an entire year.

Nausea woke me up at 2am. DH got me some apple juice, so I was able to go back to sleep. The last 2 days have been torture because I'm trying to wean myself off the medications. They have nasty side effects. I'm rethinking this and I'll probably just take one later today. This kid better not be a rotten teenager! My cat, Ally, is playing nurse and follows me to the bathroom. No idea what she'll do if I go down in a heap, but she's ready!

Carla-aren't animals the sweetest when we are not feeling well. :goodvibes I'm sorry you are having such a tough time but by the looks of your ticker you don't have that much further to go.

Denise-Try not to stress out to much on your age. I was having a really bad time with that. I had set a goal in my head that I would be done having kids by 30. I wanted one by 25 and the second by 30. Well life being what it is we didn't start trying till 5/2006. Now I'm a little over a month away from the big 3-0. The past few months I have started to let it go and now I will be happy to have a child at any age.

Denise you sound just like me. I am going to be 39 in April and we really want another child. After clomid IUI and IUI with glonal f we just couldn't afford the ultasounds and deceided to just give it a rest. Good luck and hopefully it will not take too long

LisaB - How is Diana doing? How long will it take for her to resume normal activities?

(If your family won't ask, at least your DIS family can :) )

hey ladies!

Skuttle, so glad that Milo made it through surgery okay! pets are like kids!

Nicole- awesome beta!! i can't believe we are 5 weeks. each week i make it like another hurdle overcome! i don't know how i am going to make the next 2 weeks waiting for my u/s! I dno't know what to think about twins.....my hcg was a little above avg, but not much. my progesterone is sky high and way way above avg. i have read it is a better predictor of twins. my doubling time is also great- 36 hours, when on average it is 48 hours for most. again, another possible indicator i read about. but you never know. i can just hope and pray for one healthy baby and be extra blessed if we get two!

Rebecca- good luck, no PMS symptoms so far is a great sign! stay away old hag!

I marriedgrump- welcome back and don't give up hope! it can and will happen for you! it only takes one time.

Mindy- gl in your 2WW!!!

Princesstink- good luck wtih your FSH testing- i am so glad you get to have it done and you can get some answers. i am so type A as well.....complete perfectionist. so i know the feeling! ;)

Denise- you are never too old to TTC! you are still young. go for it! don't give up.

Carla- sorry to hear about the nausea, weaning off those meds must be so hard. how are you feeling otherwise? i always think about you and am still so so happy for you!!!

Elaine- so glad to see you post- how are things going for you?

well i hope Becky had a great delivery- maybe we will see some pics soon?

feeling okay here- 5 weeks today!! YEAH! like i said, each week we pass is another week that i don't have to fear something going wrong. i am just trying to think positive and hope that i have been blessed for this one to stick and be healthy! i haven't ever had any real problems to affect my fertility per say, so hopefully we won't have issues. so far, feeling okay too- tired, light AF like cramps (which i have had since implantation), back ache, funky smelling pee, weird dreams still. but i feel great each morning, with extra energy i never had before.

i am so thankful of your support and continued prayers for me and Nicole! i am spreading the baby dust to all of you!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Denae
Thanks for asking
I still don't get Kevin's family or the people on the board who answered my post. I would always call my cousins if something is wrong with their children I guess it is just my family thing. On the other hand Diana is doing great she went back to school for a full day today. She really missed her friends. She will be off of gym and basketball for 3 weeks though or until after she see the surgeon for follow up

Hi All!

Nicole and Michelle: I am so glad things are progressing so well for both of you!

Carla: I hope you feel better. If it's any consolation, my mom had to eat oatmeal with for the entire time b/c it was the only thing she could kind of keep down, and I was a dream teenager:rotfl2: (We actually are the best of friends as adults, I talk to her at least once a day-and I wasn't that bad as a kid).

Denise:

Lisa: Sending well wishes to your cousin?(sorry 260 pages was a lot to catch up on and I'm having a hard time remembering what happened). It sounds like a sports injury. I used to be an athlete and that is one of the scariest things to have happen. I wish her health and patience in her recovery.

Elaine: You get the prize! You are right. I have to be honest; I spent most of my adult life thinking I would never have kids and I haven't had a pregnant person in my class in years so I had no idea @ this. So I pulled out all my old books, and called my boss at the gym to let her in on my little secret and get her wealth of knowledge. Answer:I should drop down my frequency a little bit but not my intensity. Things change a lot when I get pregnant, but I can deal with that when the time comes.

Having the test tomorrow! I think my Dr's office is humoring me, but what do I care:cool1: Started temping today. 10 MINUTES to take my temp!

Jennifer

Carla...Thanks! Milo still looks sad, but he did "run" to the front when he heard us opening the girl scout cookies! LOL! I can't believe you are already so far along! So sorry you are still feeling sick.

Nicole and Michelle, it's just so great to hear from you two! I can just feel the excitement in every post from y'all!! :goodvibes

Jennifer: It took 10 minutes for your temp to register? That doesn't sound right.

So I had another volunteer meeting today. This is the meeting where last week I walked in and everyone was ooo'ing and aah'ing over a girl's ultrasound pics. Well, today I discover that ANOTHER girl is pregnant! :faint: So that makes two girls on the committee and one husband on the committee (wife is expecting their second). Plus two people on my floor at work. I need to find out where these people are eating and what water they are drinking!!

Blessings to all of you!

Let me know when you find out and send me whatever they are drinking so long as it's kosher. If the food is kosher then you can send me that too. :rolleyes1 Pregnant woman come into Ruby's often as well as mommies with newborns. It's getting bad now since DH told me to come off the pill. I don't know if that's messed with my emotions...coming off the pill and my body is trying to regulate or just the fact that I'm not on them and we are trying to have one messes me up emotionally. :(

I have to keep reminding myself....LET GO AND LET G-D.

Denise, I just came off the pill and I have been really emotional too (@ 1 1/2 months for me now)! I thought it was because I had made this monumental life changing decision, but I'm starting to think it might be hormonal. I completely lost it with DH the other night (and a couple of times befor that) over something stupid. I was crying for a good 15 minutes, and I never do that. It fely very PMSy.

I think the temperature thing was a fluke. It only toook 4 minutes today . Yesterday, after 9 min. I took it out and checked it. It beeped @ 30 seconds later. 97.61 I checked it again, but I took it out and it took @ 2 1/2 min and it was 97.44. Today it was 97.41. The digital something must of been off the first time.

Going to Myrtle Beach for a girl's weekend! "See" y'all later.

Jennifer

Jennifer

YEAH! Glad to know I'm not going crazy! My appetite has been awful!! I have the nastiest sweet tooth!! I've got to get that under control...and soon!! I've got some kosher vitamins on the way...and I do believe those will help. DH will said something to me the other night and I almost started crying! I was like yee gads!

Have fun at Myrtle Beach! I'm from SC...so I know the beach well!! I'm having my girls day next Sunday. We're going to see Sandra Bullock's new movie, lunch, and shopping! It started with just four of us...now there's eight! WE CAN'T WAIT!! :cool1:

Not much news here...still in the 2ww. FF says to test on Tuesday if I make it that long before AF shows up. I miss Steph's Boo-bay Watch updates, and I think I could start my own this month! I've gone from a B cup to a C cup in just 4 days and they HURT!! DH is enjoying the show, but doesn't seem to understand that the Boo-bays are seriously painful right now. I've also got major breakouts all over my back and sections of my face, and we have a big family gathering and photos tomorrow. Oh well. That's what makeup is for...

So just serious PMS, and I wish I could interpret it all as preg symptoms, but we really didn't BD at any of the right times this month, so unless my O date is wrong on FF, there will be no BFP for me this time around. :sad2:

Welllll... I knew something was screwy with my cycle this month.. it lasted all of 23 whole days. *sigh* I haven't done too much research yet, but I'm pretty sure that's not a good thing. :confused3 It was only my second month charting, so we'll see what the doc has to say. I have an appointment on monday for something else, but I will certainly be coming with a list of questions. We are starting cycle #7 and I've only been off the pill since the middle of October.

We are headed out of town this weekend, so that should be a nice distraction :) Hope everyone else in the 2ww has a much better outcome then I have! :thumbsup2
