Any other aiport other than MCO?

Are there any other airport possibilities for the cruise? I can't find decent airfare from Philly to Orlando.

We flew into Melbourne on our first cruise and flew out of MCO.

To Port Canaveral (the following mileages are approximate):

• Melbourne International Airport is 40 miles south.
• Orlando International Airport is 45 miles west.
• Orlando Sanford Airport is 65 miles northwest.
• Daytona Beach International Airport is 75 miles north.
• Tampa International Airport is 130 miles southwest.
• Palm Beach International Airport is 150 miles southwest.
• Jacksonville Airport is 175 miles north.

Usually, Orlando has the best fares due to intense competition and the presence of low cost carriers.

I just heard the other day that Philly is one of the most expensive airports to use in the country. That's why we usually drive. Have you tried looking into leaving out of BWI or Atlantic City. I believe Spirit goes from AC to Melbourne.

I believe Spirit goes from AC to Melbourne.

We flew Spirit from Reagan National in DC to Melbourne and they were great and inexpensive.

Unfortunately, 9/11 put an end to that flight and we can't use it. I would fly them again in a heatbeat. At the time they were $79/each way!

We are flying direct from Allentown into Sanford/Orlando (SFB) for $118 round trip!!

Philly is only a little over an hour to ABE airport.

We live about 5 minutes away from the TPA airport and it only takes us about 1 1/2 hrs to drive to the port. I would always suggest MCO first, but since you can't find something you might look into TPA. Also remember to add in the cost of getting from the airport to the port.

Hmmmm... 130 miles in 90 minutes. That's an average speed of almost 87 miles per hour. Yikes!
