Any opinions on the Candlelight Processional this year???

I'm wondering what everyone's opinions are on the Candlelight Processional.....

From what I am reading on some Internet sites, DL will not be offering dining packages for this year's CP. So, it is either join D23 and buy a ticket for almost $300, or be in the standing room crowd.

I have never been to a CP, but I can imagine that if I choose not to spend all of that money and just stand for the event, I would have to stake out my spot pretty much at DL opening time. But, I have also heard that doing just that is difficult, bacause later in the day CMs will move you to rope off certain VIP areas.

Any input on the situation would be appreciated!

I was pretty stunned by that d23 dinner cost myself! Looks like they've decided the club is a way to make a bunch of money.

Anyway, the last few years they've been doing 2 CP's a night. There is a line that starts on Main Street for the 2nd show, but not nearly as early as the space-saving that happens for the 1st show. This year that's what I'm going to try for. The last 2 years we didn't get there till 5 or 6 and got standing room on the side for the 1st show - but hard to see over heads - impossible for little ones actually. Many years back I scoped out what looked like it would be a good spot at around 1pm but still wound up with tall people in front of me, so I stopped bothering.

You can probably call and get info on when the line-up starts when the date gets closer.
