Any one recently done the GG Internationl Dinner?

I really need some recent reviews to persuade the other members of our group. We have done the Magical Fireworks Voyage several times and we really enjoyed the Safari Celebration Dinner. It's a little pricey... so any good or bad reviews would be appreciated.

The food was typical buffet--plenty of mediocre food.
The entertainment was so/so--a campy storyteller with audience participation, some dancing and a visit by Goofy and Minnie Mouse.

But the DESSERT! Oh, the desserts! Exquisite and beautiful and tasty! My kids want to do the GG again and they said they won't eat any of the buffet but will eat more and more of the desserts. It was held out on a patio that had the best viewing for Illuminations. For that alone everyone agreed it was worth the priciness.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is this "GG" you speak of?

GG stands for Grand Gathering or it is sometimes called Magical Gatherings. The GG are special events for groups of 8 or more people traveling together, staying at Disney owned properties.
