Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

I'm sorry to hear about Ben - that must have been disappointing.

We are dressing up (I think) - I bought a costume from ebay a month ago and have yet to receive it. I emailed the seller and she "swears" she will have sent it by the weekend end - I hate thinking I've been rooked -but that always a chance with ebay I guess. Maybe things will work out. I'm making the kids costumes - which are not elaborate but hopefully not too boyish for one dd and not too girly-girl (other dd). Sigh...

We are Lisa, Emily (12), & Rachael (7)

Have a good day everyone!

hi all,

Thank you for all the good wishes for Ben, I have just finished bathing his paws, not an easy job, as you know anticepetic stings .

Welcome Carla :welcome: , glad to have you with us!

Flo, would you add Dave and me to the list of names on page 1 please?

I am so looking forward to this holiday.

Its getting closer !!!
Can you believe it July end of this week !!

Jen we wont be getting dressed up for pirate night. But I might see if I can buy the pirate Mickey ears @ wdw!!

:dogdance:

Oh...I forgot about the new pirate gear coming out and I know we'll just have to buy some of it pirate: That could solve our pirate costumes for us.

Basically I think it will come down to how much room we have left in our luggage to see what we bring for pirate night....its a long way to travel from Hawaii and I'd like to keep the baggage down as much as possible....not an easy task :teeth:

Jen

;) Hi! I have to share. I ordered the Mickey Luggage from the Disney Store and it came today. :woohoo: I already have the rolling duffle bag. The lugggage is well made. The price was great to. :goodvibes I got the 3 pices for 39.99. Not a bad deal.

take care
flo

Hey Flo,

I ordered the Mickey luggage too...not like we needed more luggage but for that price I couldn't resist. Also ordered a set for my nephew who is going away to college end of August and he was happy to get a new set.

Today....I was just looking around at the mall while the boys had piano lessons and I stopped in Claires...they had quite a few bins filled with all type of junk for $1. I looked through didn't see anything and was on my way out. Then I looked back and saw some Pirates of the Caribbean things in a back bin. Of course, I then started frantically digging through and got:

4 POC lanyards ....just what I was looking for so the kids could hold their keys

2 POC dry erase boards with pen ......I think will come in handy on the ship to leave messages for one another

2 Disney princess pen with paper set.....great for our little princess: to doodle

Everything was only $1 each :teeth:

Jen

Hi all!!! We are closing in on only a month out!!! :yay:

Helen, so sorry about the weekend! You were definitely in our prayers. I try to think that when something bad happens it prevents something worse from occurring. Ben was definitely not supposed to race. Believe it! :)

Jen...what a coo on the POC stuff!!! :thumbsup2 You will definitely LOVE all the stuff at Downtown Disney!!!!!!! The new store is amazing...in World of Disney!!! TONS of pirate stuff!!! pirate: We won't be too decked out. The boys got some great hats from the new store. Abby and her friend Tine received pirate t-shirts and will probably go that route. I have a nice pirate T with Swarovski crystals creating the skull and crossbones...thought to go either white blazer and pants....or black blazer and black pants. We shall see!

Well, Abby qualified today to participate in the Player of the Year championship...she has no shot at winning...but it will boost her resume and her confidence!!! Whew! Tomorrow is international tournament. Always a challenge. This year we may have to contend with rain as well. It will work.
We are hoping all goes okay for Iain as he did not get a practice round in all weekend or today. He took a fall that had us with a big scare Friday night. He couldn't move after hearing a crack in his neck. He is okay though! Whew! Had a bad week for a lot of friends. A young man who goes to the kids school almost died playing golf last week...then one of the boys friends broke their wrist. Believe it or not there was way more that happened. The young man who almost died, they were able to send home today. Still not sure of the damage. well, better run! Talk with you all late tomorrow!

tif

Wow...Tif....please send our well wishes to Iain and tell Abby what an accomplishment!

I can't imagine how some one could almost die from playing golf but prayers to that young man and his family.

Jen

LOL....Helen, I like the combo of smilies for 32!

Jen

;) Jen, it is funny you said that about the luggage. When I ordered mine my husband asked me what ones we were going to get rid of. He said that we had to much luggage. But being a Disney nut I could not resist. That was a good find with all the $1.00 stuff. pirate:

Tif, hope all of the friends are doing ok, Iain to. :) That is such a shame. Good Luck to Abby. :cheer2: Hope you get the golf in.

Helen, e more days and we are in the 2's? :woohoo: :cool1:

Tif -- good luck to Iain and Congrats to Abby.

About the Mickey luggage -- I have three of the rolling duffles. We had one, then had to get one on each of our cruises because we had so much stuff to bring back. We have extended families and also buy Christmas gifts while on the trip, so I got to get a new piece each cruise. This time I'm taking one with things we will give away/use on the trip so that I have an empty one to use for all our loot!

Hope you all have a great day!

Marci, isnt it amazing how much you can put in the rolling duffle bag? It is funny what you said about the things you are giving away. I am tring to figure out where I am going to put my things. I figure it has to be in the carry on , just in case the luggage is not there yet. Oh Well! ;)

Take care and have a good night or day what ever it is by you. :sunny:

Marci, I agree with Flo...rolling duffles seem to hold EVERYTHING!!! There are times I feel packing is so fun...then the reality sets in...as I pack for all five of us...and I start pulling hair out! :rotfl: I have been getting us packed for the month of July and into August. Know that i am taking too much...but you just never know how you will feel day to day!

Today went okay. All three played well. Tomorrow will be the final round of this tourney and then Abby has her championship on Thursday for Junior Opens...she is currently 1.5 points out of Player of the Year. She has a decent chance to pull it out. We shall see. As long as they have fun, all is good.

Well, I am beat. Being a caddy is tiring! Night!

Tif...good luck and much :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: to all the kids tomorrow. And good luck to the caddy ;)

Once we hit Saturday, July 1st, it will be really tough to focus on work things. Can't believe we are getting sooooo close

;)Tif, I agree good luck to the kids, we are ll there with them in spirt cheering :cheer2: :cheer2: . Pixie dust to the caddy :wizard: that is not an easy job. :wizard:

Jen, I agree it is getting harder and Harder to concentrate on the every day things (work, home, etc.). :dance3: Once July hits I do not know how I am going to handle it.

Helen, how is Ben doing? :) Good I hope? How are you doing with your amnesty? Won’t be much longer. :goodvibes

Have a Great day everyone!

Flo -- Yes -- I love the duffles. And, they are easy for the kids to pull to help with luggage.

Tif -- I always overpack, even for just a two week vacation. I can't imagine packing for as long as you are. Good luck!

Hi Flo and everyone.

Ben is doing ok. He is putting up with me bathing his paws with surgical spirit and hopefully he will have healed enough to race next weekend, fingers x.

I am also managing the amnesty, just!!! Dave has been working away alot so that has helped abit. He said he has been really suprised that IM managing it. I'll show him!! ;)

I think hes a bit worried about what you guys think of him, he is convinced you are going to make him walk the plank or something!!! pirate:

Tomorrow I'll have hit the half way mark of the amnesty !!! Time is going really fast, which im pleased.

One of the children I teach has just come back from WDW yesterday, and the first thing she said to me was that when she saw Mickey Mouse she told him that her teacher was coming and to say Hi !! :goodvibes

Oh well take care
