Hi Gang!!!

Hope all is going well. We made it back to Illinois yesterday. The boys were awesome on the trip...16 hours 52 minutes. Libby was great! It was wonderful getting to see Tom and Abby...but we already miss our Florida home.

Abby played today...not well. She went out of bounds from the tee twice on the second hole and ended up taking a 10. She finished her nine with a 48, so she really pulled herself together.

Well, need to catch up on sleep.

The boys did better then me. I am not a person that likes being in a car that long. In fact Libby probibly did better then me.
I a msure Abby was Probably a bit nervous to. Sound like she got her self together through. Kudos to Abby.

Glad you made it back ok. Would you do me a favour, I know you are going on some boat in a few weeks I beleive its called the Magic?

If you get the chance, could you have a look in Sessions for a bar staff called Lyndsy. She actually comes from about 6 mile away from me. She joined the Magic 4 weeks before we went on, and she was finding it really hard. She missed home terribly. On our last night I took her the remaining chocolate I had (from dis meet) and she was so pleased with it.

I keep thinking about her and hope shes alright. If you could send my wishes I would be grateful.

We would be thrilled to check in on Miss Lyndsy. It has to be so hard adjusting to life onboard. I will definitely let her know that YOU sent the hug!

How was your flight home??? Any troubles?? You were definitely in our prayers.

Thanks for the kudos for Abby. She did great. Tomorrow is tournament and Friday is a tourney against one of her cousins!!! Could be interesting. We don't get to go tomorrow as it is pretty far away, and Iain is getting his braces on! So three of the five of us will have them on!

Flo...you would be amazed at how well Libby does in a car! She was actually willing to jump back in today, and we had to make her get back out. She was a riot when she returned to her Illinois yard as it is a bit bigger than Florida. She runs laps through the back like a thoroughbred...and then returns to us almost questioning us as to whether or not we watched her! It is a hoot!!!

Are you going on a cruise other then the Med? If so can I come in your luggage?
You are right about being interesting about playing against her cousin. I think playing any sport against a family member is interesting. Keep us informed.

HI!!!

Well, today Abby was in Rock Falls playing in an invitational. There were 17 schools represented and at least 4-6 players from each school. Abby came in 10th overall and 1st for her high school!!! She is thrilled. So were her teammates...they were screaming in the background of the phone call!

I am happy she is having such fun! Iain got his braces on today and did great! So far, not much pain...we shall see how long that lasts!

So, has everyone gotten back to routines and grinds??? How are sports going for everybody else now that you have all returned home????

Talk with everyone soon! OH...Flo, you are definitely allowed to try to get in the suitcase! Actually I am trying to find a way to sneak in at least one more cruise before the med. If not, then another solo trip for Tom and I after!!! When are the dates others are choosing for 2008?????

They are almost done building our pool....we should be putting the water in this Sunday or Monday.

Our server on board, Liam, is planning to visit Hawaii next June. We told him to be sure to contact us and we will host a hawaiian barbeque for him.

Hi all,

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. It was a quite day really -Dave was away on buisness so I had lunch out with my mam.
On the night time I started my spanish classes again - well I've only got 11 months time the med !!! lol

I really mean this - if any of you guys want to visit the UK you are more than welcome to come and stop here.

Well its the summer championships tomorrow for Ben! We are in Division 6 and are seeded middle so I think we have a good chance. But with dogs anything can happen!

Me, too, Tif. Probably not good for my kid's education, but I am the happiest Mom on the block the day they get out for summer vacation! The past two weeks I've been feeling down, too. Just a combination of the girls going back to school (that was last Monday, August 7th), and Post Cruise Blues!

Helen, good luck with the dogs this weekend!

Jen - I've been thinking about how nice it would be to have a pool in the back - Fun for BBQ's too! The best thing is that as your kids get older, their friends will want to hang out at your house because you have the pool! Great way to keep them at home!

Good luck Helen!!!! Go Ben!!! Keep me posted on the Spanish too!! Abby will be taking in high school, they officially start on Thursday. My Italien in the car hasn't been going as well as I would like. Au Weia!

Jen...a pool! Great idea! We are hoping for an inground hot tub for the Florida house next summer. I hope Liam gets a hold of you. I really think cruise staff influence our kids in positive ways and to get to know them even better would be a great opportunity!

Tom and I are cruising in two weeks!!! Hard to believe it is that close...and then we are on hiatus till the med. It is my hope that I can sneak one more in there somewhere. We have always flown separately, but for our trip back, we are to be flying together. With everything going on, I am really uncomfortable.

I agree with you! When you can have the kids coralling at your home, you know who they are with and what they are doing. That is what my parents always did. I still don't know HOW my mom did all that she did...but I am starting to try. Tuesday night a neighbor who has a classmate of Abby and us are hosting a back to school hoorah! We are serving hot dogs and burgers at our house, with a round of kick the can to start off the evening. Then we head over to their home for a bon fire and a bit of volleyball and then onto flashlight tag! Should be a fun night!

WAY TO GO FLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1001!!! That is so cool!

We are sailing on a 7 day Eastern. I actually prefer Eastern...there is a different feel onboard...a little more laid back. If you can get any more laid back!
It is my dream to do a back to back so that I can sleep for about 3-4 full days, then start getting busy onboard, and then hit the things that I don't normally get to do! Hard to believe that there are still things I haven't done onboard. I think Tom has done it all! He really revels in the options onboard. He missed not having a seminar to go to on our Western. He has met some really neat cast members by going to those on the Easterns!

Helen -- I'm so sorry to have missed your birthday -- we've been in New Mexico on a family vacation -- 14 of us. I've now labeled it the Vacation from Hell, for a number of reasons..... one of which was an ambulance/emergency room visit for my mother who shouldn't have gone with us anyway because she was already sick....can you tell I'm a little frustrated/stressed????

Addison missed school Friday,(only the 2nd week - Yikes!) She had a yuccky cold & fever. But, she's feeling much better this evening. Tif - How many days till next summer vacation?
