Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

Marci, I agree I want to try different ports. That is the only way I will go somewere other then Disney. What I like about it I still have my Disney. We did not book any thing because of joining the DVC but that may help to.

It was frustrating especialy when he goes I did not see you and the other truck drive had to tell him I was there! The only good thing is we have Safeco insurance (they are not cheap). But they do take care of you. My car is in the shop already. I took it yesterday. It is like one stop shopping. They have the rental place right there. Just looking at the out side the care is already 800.00. He said once they take it apart there may be more. Oh well it could have been worse.

Hi Guys!
I just found this thread on cruisecritics about our Dilbert friend on our cruise. Helen, Carla, and I thought that he was sitting at the table next to us so we flashed about 20 pics at him trying to get a good one. Turns out he was a plastic surgeon, not the Dilbert guy! It was fun pretending not to look at him!
Hope my cut and paste works.
Valerie

Scott Adams really:
Cruising
I had my familymoon last week. That’s like a honeymoon, but in our case included our two kids (6 and 9) plus two sets of grandparents. Our brilliant plan was to enroll the kids in the spectacular child activity centers offered on the Disney Magic cruise ship to the Western Caribbean. Once checked in, the kids would be entertained with a plethora of games and activities that would stimulate and delight them. This would leave the adults free to do adultish things. Everyone wins.
Unfortunately, our kids only have one question when it comes to entertainment: Who else will be there?
It turns out that our answer – “a bunch of strangers” – did not please them, especially after they tried it. So Plan B went into effect, and that meant continuously trying to figure out how to entertain eight very different people, ages 6 to 79, without everyone going their own way and defeating the purpose of the trip. It was like solving a Rubik’s Cube seven times a day...

Aloha Everyone!

We are still in Orlando and will be taking the long flight home tomorrow. This has been our first trip to WDW when we didn't have rain :sunny: now I have to take back home all my disposable ponchos :teeth:

The cruise was a blast! Especially because of our Dis friends and being able to say "HI" and talk to people you know. My boys loved the kids club....Jaclyn wasn't sure if she liked Flounders but at least she played there 1 night long enough for Dh and I to enjoy Palo :thumbsup2

Grand Cayman was our favorite port....stingrays! Jaclyn was the bravest of them all....my big boys were big babies.

And yes....we did book onboard for Dec. 15, 2007. Last month we actually booked a cat. 4 for the same date but we decided that the two cat. 9 rooms worked really well for us. I'm really hoping to switch to a 2008 date....thinking around mid June since it will be our anniversary. And that Dec. itinerary is Western.....which was okay but really would like to try something else........though I would love to be onboard during the holidays.

Once we get home and settled I'll post some great pics...especially of our boys and Marci's boys on pirate night.

Talk to you all soon,
Jen

Hi, Jen. I hope you guys have had fun in Orlando this week. We also hope to cruise mid to late June 2008, depending on the itinerary. We actually got a confirmation today for a land/sea that we had inquired about for next summer but hadn't confirmed while on board. It looks like they went ahead and charged us a deposit on it, so I have to figure out what is going on with that.

I'm slowly loading pictures in to photobucket and posted a few on the DIS design thread I'm addicted to. I also have a great picture of the boys on pirate night that I'll send you.

I really enjoyed meeting your family. Your boys are so outgoing and friendly (I wish mine weren't quite so shy), and Jaclyn is a doll. In fact, I thought everyone's kids were great!

Safe travels home!

Hello to everyone,
Thoughts and prayers to Helen and Dave. They were headed to Saratoga Springs for 5 nights before going home. I'm not certain, but I believe that would make today their flight day. With the day's events in London, it's bound to be a long arduous journey home.

Also, prayers to Jen's family as they have to travel today, too, with all the heightened security. Here's some pixie dust for you all and pixiedust: Wishing you all safe travels home!

I agree with you. I have been thinking about them all day. I hope all goes well for them and they have a safe journey home. :wizard:

Hello to all....we are finally home!!!!! Thank you for all the well wishes!

As you can imagine yesterday was not the best day to travel but we made it safely. Fortunately we were watching the news in the morning and knew we had to get to the Airport early so we went 3 hours early. The lines were long and many people who didn't know which line to go in. Luckily we had electronic tickets since those lines were the shortest. It took us about 1 hour to get our boarding passes and go through the security check.

No forms of liquid were allowed...even lip gloss, hand sanitizer, etc. I was worried that they would take away our Dimetapp....you don't want to be on a plane with my daughter if she doesn't have some Dimetapp to help her sleep on the plane :bitelip: But they said that was okay.

So our 12 hour travel day turned into a 15 hour day....not bad. And we must of had some pixie dust b/c even though the day was long.....our kids had a really good travel day :thumbsup2

Restrictions on International travel were the toughest..... :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Helen and Dave.

Thanks again...will post later after I've put some stuff away.

Aloha,
jen
