Helen -- I hope you've gotten some good news on your Mum and her arm/wrist.

Jen -- I love the pictures of your kids in the pool. It looks fabulous!

No news on my mom yet. They ran more tests today. I'm hoping that the couple of "suspicious" spots they are analyzing are really fatty deposits like her original doctor told her months ago. It's so upsetting visiting her and seeing her in this condition. They are giving her massive amounts of pain killers so she's hallucinating at times. I'm thankful she doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain, but it is very frightening. Thanks for the good wishes and prayers.

The waiting on results are so hard...especially when you really don't know what they are looking for or not looking for! Just don't give up! Her hallucinations have to be hard to watch. Have the docs given you any tips on how to handle those situations? We keep you and your family, your mom, and the rest of your entire family in prayer!!!!!

Thanks for keeping us up on it. It is so nice to know that when life seems to be weighing down on your shoulders and you don't know what to do, there is this little message board with a friendly face and lots of hugs waiting for you! Thanks to our wonderful group! You all have made several days so much more tolerable to get through for me! Thank you!

Thanks for the words of encouragement -- they mean so much! They have decided that the spots are just normal cysts. Not cancer! I'm so relieved. They were going to try to get her up today and start some physical therapy. These people better have unbelievable patience and thick skins!

I think we have a long road ahead of us, and we'll just have to tackle it one step at a time. Thanks again for helping me through the rough spots, as well as helping celebrate the milestones.

Marci, that is great news!

We have some great news....we'll be going on another Disney cruise sooner than we thought.

We are going on the 3/17/07 eastern cruise. Its the kids spring break and we couldn't resist. I really thought DH would say no but he actually is pretty excited about it...wanted to know where the room was, etc. Usually I do all the planning and he just follows but this time he was really interested.

Now I know for sure he is as much a Disney nut as I am

But nothing can compare to our first Disney cruise with you all

As we get closer to Christmas I would like to get everyone's address so I can mail out Christmas cards I know its early but its only 4 months away.

Tif....I hope the weather clears for your cruise!

Jen, that is great new about the cruise. I am so happpy for you and sad for me. I know we will not be cruising till 2008.

What I am happy about is I made are plans for summer of 2007. I made resurvations at SSR for July..

Flo....there is nothing like your first trip "home" as owners! It just feels so good that you own a piece of the "Magic"

I'm so glad that we had wonderful weather for our cruise....I would be a bit worried if I was on the Magic right now with that hurricane nearby.

Jen, good idea, I would also love to have everyone's mailing address. (love your pool - it looks so natural, and I know I would love the swim up area! What a great place to sit, without really having to get all the way in the water!)

Anyone getting ready for a big Labor Day weekend? We are staying home, as Jeff is responsible for the local fireworks show. (Never any summer holiday travel for us, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc - too many things happening on the local parks scene.)

Hi, Carla! I hope everything goes well this holiday weekend with the fireworks and celebrations! We are supposed to be heading down to San Antonio to Sea World on Friday after school, coming back on Monday afternoon. I'm sure Mom will insist we go, so unless she has any problems this week, we'll go ahead and go.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week -- ours has started out well -- RAIN!!! We have been in a severe drought, and we only got a little rain so far, but a little is better than none. Go RAIN!!!

Hi Everyone!
I just got back from camping for four days with NO SHOWERS! Yucck! After taking a 45 minute shower I felt better. Anyway, we had a great time. Nolan caught his first fish ever! We didn't find any bugs or scorpions for Nicholas but he was happy just being outdoors.

For Labor Day we are going to DTD for a friend's birthday at the Storyteller's Cafe on Sunday. So because I forgot to use my Disney credit on the cruise we decided to stay at the Grand Californian and go to DL and DCA. Fun! We go all the time but hardly ever stay at the hotel (we only live 45 minutes away).

I would love to get everyone's address (Flo??? Ha Ha). Maybe we could get our birthdays too (Just us girls). I gave everyone my address on the card I gave you at the meet. I'm sure it's gone so I can give you mine again. I love sending and getting cards.

This group is so fun and most of all supportive. I wonder if we should move to another forum......one that's more private? Just a thought. Maybe in a few years we could have a girls trip and meet somewhere in the middle of all of us like in Colorado or something. That would be something.

Hope everyone's moms and kids are doing well. When I was on my way down the mountain and finally had cell phone service I called my mom and she said that she was pretty much back to normal! She can eat more now which is good and bad because I hope she doesn't gain all her weight back. Her hair is now falling out because of the radiation but that doesn't seem to bother her right now. Yeah! We will sure need her this fall seeing as I spent 4 hours in the car yesterday doing homework of one of my two Masters classess. Ugh. Grandmas (Moms) are great. We are taking my 82 year grandma out on the lake today in a boat for her birthday.

Enough rambling for one day.......off to wash our dirty, dirty clothes!

Well summer is definatly over as I've been back to work for 2 weeks now

New headteacher seems nice , guess time will tell on that one.

Dave is going to Eygpt on Thursday ( a weeks diving hol) some of us are at work. I did try to enforce a 2 week diving amnesty and he failed miserably.

I think we are going to abook a weeks holiday in Spain in February -probably Marbella.

Do you guys know who Kylie is? Dont know whether shes big in the states but im really chuffed I got tickets to see her in January.

I dont know about you but it seems like a forever since we were on the cruise.

Oh well I'd better go to bed - Ive got school in the morning

Hi Everyone. Yes, the cruise seems forever ago. I keep looking at the Med. cruises - but its expensive- especially when I add airfare and excursions - even if I book them on my own.

I can't wait for the 2008 dates to be announced. Anyone else feel that way?

Hello all!!!!

It is good to hear all the positives this group has to say! The cruise last week was WONDERFUL!!! We had to laugh one evening though...we made it from the art gallery (two new auctioneers...much more to the caliber of the original two on the Magic!!!! ),to the DVC desk, to Treasure Ketch in 3 and a half hours! Pitiful!!! Karine in merchandise is going to take us off the ship when we head to the Med when we hit Ville Franche and take us about. Winston in merchandise is sending us all kinds of info....Helen, get ready for lots of note taking!!! A few of the others are willing to guide us about a couple of other ports! Treasure Ketch got in some new merchandise while we were there. They are trying a jewelry line that is too much fun! When we travel, especially without the kids, I don't take too much good jewelry. I had worked for a high end, designer jewelry store in our city for about 5 years and had worked toward my GIA certification. This stuff looked GREAT! $12 for rings, $18 for necklaces and earrings. If it croaks in a month, no biggie! We had more fun playing every night!!!!
The weather was amazing...so thank you all for the pixie dust!!!
Jen...congrats on heading out over spring break!!! You will have an awesome trip!!!

They were running a great deal with DVC, so we did our 5th add on! Mike had teased Tom telling him that since I knew our credit card number by heart, that he would just run it through. Until we told him that I did do that a few years back! That one was a much bigger add on, and I got in a bit of trouble over that one!!!!
Well, now we own at SSR as well! We are thrilled!

Would anyone be interested in a time at WDW?? We can all stay at our place in Windermere. We have a Suburban there so we can all fit. The house is literally 12 minutes to the Grand. We can hit the parks, the outlet, the pool!!! February and March are bad months for us. Anyone want to think about this????

Helen -- safe travels to Dave for his trip! I hope he has a fantastic time. Spain sounds wonderful. I just did a bunch of research for Spain for the lady whose company I manage. They had a great time, even though they went in August and it was terribly hot. They went to Madrid, Barcelona and Bilboa. Almost went to Granada but changed their minds.

Glad you got tickets to Kylie. I have to admit I'm not quite sure who that is, but I'm not the hippest mom around, either.

Lisa -- I'm also anxiously awaiting a call about our 2008 request! We've ended up booking a Land/Sea for next summer, because we couldn't justify the Med. since our the highlight of the trip for our boys is digging in the sand. My youngest is hoping for a double dip, as he loves CC.
