Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

Our kids did one of the beaches in Cozumel a few cruises ago...we tend to like Eastern much better-we love the sea days! Anyway, they did a beach that a cbbie recommended. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Definitely check with recommended sites through DCL. The kids don't even want to check it out at all this time around.
Grand Cayman has lots of great treats. When our kids were little the Turtle Farm was great. They also got some giggles out of going back to their parochial school and telling people they had been to "Hell." :rotfl: There is also a Pirate ship that takes you out and anchors off shore. Then you get to swing from the rigging and make a HUGE splash into the Caribbean Sea! They also had a small gang plank that you could dive off. It was great fun! :thumbsup2

Just a couple of thoughts for anybody who was interested.

;) Hi Everyone!! Can you believe it we are almost at the 3 month mark. I have to really start to decide on excursions. It is almost time. :thumbsup2

What are you considering??? When we had been in GC for a wedding a few years ago, our friends got us hooked on the Tortuga Rum Liquer. Dangerous!!! We couldn't seem to find the location when we went on our excursion from the cruise. I think I need to get ahold of our friends that used to live there to give us the scoop on where to go.

I think in Cozumel we may just hit the little mall for a bit of silver jewelry. Last time we found sombreros for $18! They were an absolute hit when we all returned to school. They were gorgeous hats!

Years ago I worked in a jewelry store and I met some of the divers who found the Atochia. They were on the Mel Fischer team and so it would be fun to go to the museum on Key West. DD's Bestfriend and DD may want to hit the southern most point in the US!

For the most part, I think we will hang out onboard :)

Have a good night!!!

;) I would like to do a Dolphin one and I know DS and DH will do something in the water. They don’t have scuba licenses so I don’t know what. I just have to decide. Most of the time I just want to hang around and relax

Hi Flo!

We did the Dolphin excursion on Anguilla on the Eastern cruise...not good. Won't do that one again. But have heard the one in Key West is pretty good. Another option would be to go ahead and do it at Discovery Cove. Has your DH and DS done any of the catamaran excursions???? They usually go snorkelling too.
My favorite thing to do is simply hang out onboard. Vista Spa is always a good choice on port days! :cloud9:
So looking forward to actually meeting you and everyone else!

Happy Sunday!

;) Hi Tif! Thanks for the info in the Catamaran Excersions. I will have to check them out. It sounds like fun. Maybe I will wait for the Dolphins till next year when we go to WDW. I can then go to discovery cove. They can go on the excersion and I can go shopping. When we went to Nasau we just got off the boat for a little then got back on and enjoyed the Wonder. I am getting so excited it is getting harder and harder to contrate at work. But I just got a good raise so I better keep my mind on work at work. :sunny:

HI Flo!

Congrats on your raise at work!!! :thumbsup2 What do you do? Sorry, I just didn't feel like going back through the threads. Tom is a family dentist. I am just a play-at-home mom.
I know what you mean about having trouble concentrating!!! We can hardly wait. Abby, who is graduating 8th grade May 22nd party: , is so excited!!! She will be taking her best friend on this trip and the two of them can't stop talking about it!
Just think, we will probably get to watch POC Dead Man's Chest onboard!!! :teeth:

Have a great night!!!

;) Hi Tif! how exciting for your DD. Graduating 8th grade and going on DCL. Her and her friend probably talk non stop about one or the other.

I am in billing, shipping and receiving for a billiards company. My mind somethings turns to mush. But then it comes back when I think of DCL. My new thing at luc is I sit in my car and read the passporter. SO when it is time for me to make the res. I know what I want. That is only a week away if I figure it correct ofr castaway members.

Take Care
Flo

Hey...you all better save some Palo times and good excursions for us! :sunny:

We don't have any special brownie points for us...this is our first cruise with Disney so we have to wait till the 75 day mark

Would still like to plan a get together pre-cruise for all staying at WDW before the cruise. We'll be at BCV from 7/24 till the cruise.

Aloha,
Jen

;) Jen when I make mine I will tell them that they have to say you a spot. I am sure there will be some left.

We're in on the get together, but aren't arriving until late on 7/26. I've not planned much to be flexible in case we can get together. I can't believe next week is May!

Hi all, :wave2:

Sorry Ive not been on for a while, hope you are all ok. I know Im counting down the days and its only 13 weeks. :goodvibes Im SOOO excited. This year is flying by and we'll be sitting on deck with a cool drink in no time!

Dave and I fly in on the Thurs (27th) and have nothing planned on the friday except an adr at Ohanas at 5pm. If you would like to meet up. We're usually really jet lagged and are up @ 5am !

It will be so nice to put faces to the names :)

How are you getting form WdW to the port? We have booked a towncar from FL Tours as we want to get to the port early.

Its nice to know that there are others as excited as i am.
:wave2:

How about something on the 28th about 10:00 ish in the morning? That way we can include the most people.

We are at BCV and we can meet by the pool somewhere....or anywhere else that someone can recommend.

That sounds fine by us, we are stopping @ SSR.

What does everyone else think?

Just to confirm (as my tag says I get easily confused  ) BCV - is that Beach club Villas ( Opposite Boardwalk? with the pirate ship ?)

We'll have to think about how to recgnise each other ( Apart from the fact that we'll have big cheesy grins thinking about the cruise :teeth: )

I am sooo excited!!!
:wave2:

;) We don't get in till Friday at 10:00 in the evening. We are staying at the Hyatt airport. So when you all meet at the pool have a drink :drinking1 for me. I will have to wait to see everyone on the cruise.

We have the DCL transfers from the airpot to Magic and back.

We also have to decide as to were and when we are going to meet on the cruise? Any ideas. :cheer2:

Hey everyone - just found this thread and joined the board. I'm on for 7/29/06 with my dd ages 7 & 12. This will be our first DCL trip. We are sooo excited! :cloud9:

Jen -- normally that would be my pick for times when we do the pool, but since we aren't going to be getting but two days at the parks before the cruise, it might not work for us. It will be hot, hot, hot and crowded in the parks, so we'll start at opening and go until after lunch, then back to the resort to cool off, then back out again. Best time for us is probably afternoon, or even maybe evening.

We won't be able to find the perfect time for everyone, so I will definitely understand if 10 a.m. works best for everyone else!! :sunny:

Welcome! I have boys who will be 10 and 7 on the trip.

Hi Guys!

Getting together before the cruise is a possibility for us. DH and DD's best friend are flying in on Friday, but my DD, and 2 DSs will be around...just let us know where and when. To everyone that isn't able to meet, we will definitely have to plan a way to recognize each other!

I am getting so excited at the thought of booking our Palo resv. :cool1:
I can already taste the prosciutto pizza! We have had a total of 3 servers and been up there about 8 times. Marco has been our favorite...looks like a very young-and slightly smaller-Kevin Costner!...he always makes an extra pizza for us to take to the kids. He hates that they were eating Pinocchio's!!!! He also makes sure they EACH get a souffle'!!! Can you tell I didn't eat dinner tonight....hehehehe!

Well Pixie Dust wishes all!
