Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

Hi All,

The more I think about it the more I think the Macadamia nuts may be a good idea. I like that its something from Hawaii and also makes a great snack so I think the CMs will enjoy it. :sunny:

Helen...Mac nuts is one of those things that Hawaii is famous for, like our pineapples and Kona coffee. The most common way to eat them is salted but you can get them with a variety of seasonings or even in brittle.

Here's the link for Mauna loa brand mac nuts www.maunaloa.com

I'll be sure to pack some extra to share with you all :thumbsup2

Aloha,
Jen

I didn't think about room service - thanks -

So those of you past cruisers think food items might be a good thing in addition to the cash gratutity? Hmm... I wonder how wel tastycakes will travel in July.... but its a philly thing.

I love everyones ideas. As a new cruiser I really appreciate everyones suggestions and ideas. Thanks!

Hi njmom!

I've heard about tastycakes. Did one of the morning shows do a brief segment on them???? I really think the crew like the food...especially when it comes from where we are. It is amazing how attached you get to them. They like having that connection of where you are!

I get emails once or twice a week from a few crew that we have met over the last few years! They are special!

That is cool :thumbsup2 I think you must have made as much an impression on the CMs as they did on you :wizard:

Thanks Jen!!!

You are going to love this and you will be amazed at how attached you get to the crew.

Have to say, Hawaii is our middle child's dream vacation. We will head there in a couple of years. We are hoping to do a DVC trade. We do have to wait until we get points back. We just used them all and our next year for the Med.

Looking forward to meeting...by the way we have the turning 12 onboard and 10 year old boys...and a 14 DD. Hope our boys will enjoy playing!

hi all,

Just wondered if anyone was up making reservations? ;)
Its 8am in the morning here but I think its 3am over there

Just sending pixiedust: hope you get what you want.

xx

:woohoo: MrsJobba1: Yes I have started. I did the ones for Castaway and Palo. We have brunch on Monday (7-31) at 11:00 and Dinner on Thurs (8-3) at 7:00. We have never done Palo. My son and husband are doing the jet Ski tour. I am going to the adult beach to relax. ;)
When my husband wakes up he is going to look at the islands. My son and him want to go Snorkeling. I am amazed on how easy it is. :Pinkbounc
I am going to go crazy for the next 90 days. :cloud9:

Hi Flo,

I don't know whether you realise but Marci and myself both have dinner @ Palo on thurs at 7pm . I have brunch on the monday @ 11:30 also. :goodvibes

So we will definatly get to see each other :goodvibes

Well done on your excursions.

I love serenity bay, so Ill be there. Dave has got the hike and Kayak excursion booked for 12, so if you wanna get a drink in the sun i'll see you there

;) Helen, That is a date at serenity bay. I rented the tub for me to lounge in the water. I rented the whole package for them.

That is to funny we will all made reses. at Palo at the same time. It will be like a mini DIS meet. :cheer2:

After I posted I decided to do the manicure at the Spa. I decided I was going to treat myself. ;)

My DH is now on line looking for thinkg at the ports for him and my son to do. I do know they are going snorkeling. So I get to explore my stores on my on.
I sure hope there three months go by fast. :wizard:

;) Hi All! We just added two excursion. One in Cozemel (the Jeep one). My husband wanted to do the dune buggy but it was all gone already. We are all going to do that one. :guilty: Then in Key West him and my son are going to do the catamaran and snorle one. Again, I can walk around and enjoy the shops. :woohoo:
I think was are all done. :goodvibes

Good job Flo!

We still have 15 days to go till we can book our things.

I thought the Dune Buggy tour sounded great too but I can't see my DD 2 1/2 on that one...she'll be bouncing around like crazy :moped:

So think we are doing mostly beach things....really leaning towards Paradise Beach on Cozumel.

Also thinking about doing the eco tour excursion on CC. From the reports it sounds like a blast. But I gotta figure out the logistics of it since DD can't go. If DH and I take turns with our boys or to schedule DD in Flounders for a bit....but I'm feeling a bit guilty about that since CC is such a family day.

Aloha,
Jen

;) Hey Jen! THis is the first time we booked any thing. On the 3 and 4 we did not. It was kind of fun. Since my son will be 21 in December I figure we might as well enjoy the cruise because this may be the last vacation he wants to take with us. :) Good Luck when it is time for you to book. :sunny:

Hi Flo!!!

By the sound of your relationship with your DS...he will definitely vacation with you for years to come. I still love it when we can travel with my parents. Tom's mom also joins us frequently. We took "YumYum," Tom's mom with us on our Christmas 2005 cruise! Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust!!!

How did you get the Dis Silver sponsor logo in your corner???

Have a great night!
:tink:

;) HiTif! If you clik on my logo a screen will come up explaining all the different sponcerships for the DIS site. I figure I use it so much, I should help sponsor it and keep it going. I would be lost with out it. :goodvibes

Hi Flo!

Thanks for the info!!! I have to wait a week, but I think I'd like to help out too! What are the sponsor forums that it mentioned??

Tif if you go to the bottom of the main thread site (were it lists Disney Land, Disney World, ect.) you will see one that is called sponsor forums ;)

Thanks Flo! There is so much to learn...in everything.

Just got back from DD's 8th grade photo op! She looked way too old. The nice thing is we had a ball. It has been such a nice few months with her of late. Smart enough to know that there are peaks AND valleys. You have to figure out how to enjoy the whole ride! Her brothers were great about her going. They told her how pretty she looked...without being prompted!!! We have promised all three that we will do a Mud photo session. The three of them will start out in white button downs and either white or khaki shorts. Then it is a free for all with mud...finishing with the three of them piled together in the mud. My sister's daughter...18 days younger than our Abby, may join in the fray to give to my parents as a gift. Granted, Gabs probably would look on from a distance during the mud!!! Yes,,,We have Abby...my sister has Gabby, and my SIL has a Tabby! Bill, Bob, and Anthony in Frontierland got a pretty good laugh out of that a couple of times! All three girls were born in just under a year!

Sorry for the babbling!
Tif :tink:

Tif, When you take the picture if it is before the cruise being it with. I would like to see it. Sounds like the kids will enjoy this one. Your DD must be getting excited about 8th grade grad. When does she grad.? I remember Steven's. What I can't believe that in a little over 2 years he will be grad. college. I sure wish I knew were the time went. ;)

Talking about our kids..

Our oldest DS turned 10 today. He was born 6 weeks early and had to stay in the NICU ( nenonatal intensive care unit) for 2 weeks. He was only 5 1/2 lbs. Well.....now at 10 he is about 5'2" and 125 lbs. with size 9 shoes!

What was cute was that for his present he got some new shoes ( growing too fast), a video game, and some $. He was telling us he just wanted $ for his birthday so he could buy the video games he wanted.

Well...when he got the $ he said "Sweet...I'm saving this for the cruise!" :thumbsup2 What a smart boy! :teeth: Our kids are really looking forward to the cruise.

Aloha,
Jen
