Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

we got our MagicBands last week. this week, i got the invitation email and the overnighted letter. i'll keep the letter as a memento. but i found it funny since we already have our actual MagicBands. and, when i go online, there is no way to customize them even though the letter says i have until September 22. it will be interesting to see if they ship me another set.

before customizing and getting them, i could see my sister's band. now, her band is gone (she's still on all of our reservations though).

I apologize if this has already been asked but I am a bit confused!

We are staying at CSR from 10/2 - 10/9 and understand there is no FP+ testing for guests at this resort. Is that correct?

Will this impact us from getting regular Fast Passes? Usually stay at Pop but wanted to try a Moderate this time but now I am wondering if it is worth it.

I just booked FP+ for Fantasmic Oct 24 which is a Thurs, already had selections but just checked and Fantasmic was an option so changed our selections.
We are split stay AOA Oct 18-20 and Poly 20-25

Saw a post first thing this morning before work and zoomed to get mine! Just now getting to reply back! Thanks everyone! Getting everything in place, now that I have the Fantasmic FP+ all I need now is a BOG lunch FP+ Hope they open those too! I think I'm going to pass on the Wishes and MSEP ones, if they ever become available. I think we'll do fine just lining up for those like we've always done.

Edit: It's funny, but I think where most people not following the boards and just arrive and get MBs and have no idea...etc....I think most of the people in the Fantasmic FP+ area will be DISers

Is the Fantasmic and Be Our Guest fastpass+ only for certain dates? I keep checking and I am unable to get these. Has anyone else had this problem? We really want to eat at Be Our Guest just don't want to miss some rides to wait in line for an hour.

Ours showed only Fantasmic, although I did not check for other dates. Ours is a Thursday in Oct. I will check for BOG and check other days and re post

FYI.... For those worried about what can be read off of the bands

DH (an IT guy) decided to to try reading the rfid chip with our phones. he was able to do it but didn't get any valuable information.

Yes, I did. I had a RnR Rollercoaster FP+ for 6pm-7pm scheduled in case of Fantasmic. So to check, I just went in to change that FP+ choice only, and Fantasmic was an option. You might try changing one of your rides to that time period, then go back in and try to change that experience and see if it shows up! Hope that helps.

You're welcome! I know, it's crazy that the system only looks at that "time" which is already scheduled. So glad I was able to help you, I thought that might be what was wrong.

I tried with one of my MK days a little bit ago and couldn't get it to do it. I was trying by changing the whole day, but canceled out when I didn't see it give me anything so I didn't lose my FP+ selections. So that might not be the best way to do it, but didn't want to lose my scheduled times just on the chance it might pop the bonus FP+.
