Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

Double dipping refers to the ability to run your ticket through the FP machine at your attraction while still having a FP+ reservation. So essentially you will only be able to dd once you get into the park.

I meant will I be able to pull paper FP BEFORE my FP+ window is up. Like if I have TSM on FP+ at 3:00 in the afternoon, can I pull a paper one in the morning (with a return time of say, 12:30) before my FP+ time is used. I may have worded it wrong haha!

As of right now, I have read yes. The FP+ and FP paper are not connected in any way. They have that turned off.

Just got done reading that link. Thank you so much. It really helped me understand what I will be doing when/if my time comes. We are at CBR in November, so who knows if they will still be testing then. If so, I don't think CBR has been included.

You are welcome! Hope you get to test. I guess the best FP+ tip I can give is you are not stuck with the time options they give you. You start off picking from the Best match, Options A, B, C. Normally, the times were not what I wanted for all of them. One would be ok and the others would not work. So I'd pick the choice that I could work with the most by moving things around. Then I went back into that day and changed the times individually for each one to what I wanted. It could be set up a little better to not have to go in and out for each one at a time. I know some have mentioned a drag and drop would be great, and I agree.

staying at AKL Kidani October 14-20. we were able to link our UT tickets online. do you have to be a beta tester to get the magic bands or is there a way to order them through MDE? Also, how do you make fastpass+ ressies? Beta testers only? i read a bunch of posts but didnt see an answer, although I just skimmed over them.Any help would be appreciated.

Well, poop! Guess I can re-direct the money I was planning to spend to dress up my magic band toward something else. Oh well, at least I'm staying at the resort I really wanted, with FD!!

I can still pout though, right?

WL is not a test resort for the bands/FP+.

CSR is also not included for October either (yet...). We had to have a split stay to nab FD with CSR since POR ran out of FD for our dates, so we are part of the POR test on only our last 2 nights/3days when we have a RO reservation, but I am with you, at least I have FD! I would rather have that and save $$$ if I had to choose! We could have easily just stayed at POR for the MB test the whole time. I am pouting with you though wunkmom...

I've noticed that many people are upset because their resort is not one in the testing phase. I agree with them - and have the same concerns. Especially in regards to the regular Fastpass system. Since the testers will be able to double-dip, they will get to do all their rides with no problem. However, the non-testers may OR may not get fastpasses for the rides they want because of the double dippers.

I'm staying at ASMusic, Oct. 19 - Oct 25, and I feel really cheated on numerous issues - harder time getting fastpases, may not have a refrigerator in the room, crowded food court due to the close of the other AS food court, etc. I paid for this vacation in March and I feel like I'm being cheated and not getting the vacation that I expected and paid for.

If it were not for the non-refundable airfare, I would just cancel this vacation and try to get my money back from Disney.

As of now you have to be a beta tester to use FP+ and MB, and there is no way to request or order them otherwise.

Kidani Village is not yet included in testing.

I'm at CBR Oct 26-Nov 3. I read one post where someone staying at CBR in October was able to select FastPass+ times but I'm kind of wondering if they were confused or used the wrong acronym. My husband looks at me like I'm crazy when I talk about how bad I want MBs. I considered making a room only reservation for 10/25 as we will arrive late and need a hotel anyway, but I'm not sure if that would help.

Yes, I think the whole picking times is not very efficient. I wish it was a little easier/streamlined somehow. I didn't like how you had to pick all three first and then go back and adjust times. I hope that they tweak this a little more.

That's why I changed my resort to Pop. Cost a little more but now I'm excited instead of envious. Totally worth it for me...and I don't like to spend money.

Feeling a lot of the same things. I understand that its the "luck of the draw" as far as which resorts are testing and which are not. We got the FD PIN and I chose POFQ instead of POR and my kids are going to miss out on MB/FP+ because I made the wrong choice.

What is not right IMO is that Disney is allowing the testers to double dip as you said and use FP+ and pull paper FP as well. It should be one or the other, not both. Checking in October 19th so kind of late to look for an offsite resort but if I could I would seriously be looking to change and give my resort $$ to someone besides Disney. Next trip I think we are going to spend a lot time at Universal

Same thing has been popping up for some time. Staying at CSR mid November. It has to be the default.

Same thing for us! We are staying at CSR Oct 25-Nov 1 and I was able to complete my online check-in today.

Yes, the test resorts are testing both the bands and FP+. People going in October got access to both last week. No need to wait for a formal invite. Happy planning!

Just to confirm....you have to have your tickets linked in order to be able to fastpass+ selections, right? (Am pulling at a thread here to try to get this to work! ....hoping they can just link to my room ressie, but guessing not)

i feel a little jipped (sp?). we initially had reservations at Pop for the end of October and when the free dining came out we had to book elsewhere because they only had a limited set of rooms for free dining. and now i see the Pop is part of the MB testing and we are out of luck. we have moved to all star sports so i am assuming that resort will not be part of the testing areas.

on a good note, i guess free dining is better than nothing.
