Any North East People Keeping Their February Break Plans?

Hi all. It's been awhile, hoping all of you fared well through the storms and hope you all had a good Holiday Season.

I'm just wondering if those of you who had February break plans and lost the week off, are still keeping your plans or did you cancel?

I'm in a bit of a quandry. I have the personal vacation time to keep my plans, but my friend and co-worker had to cancel
So, I'm looking at either cancelling or going by myself!

Do any of you know if DVC will refund the points without consequence (i.e., put borrowed points back into next UY) if plans have to be cancelled? Especially in an instance such as mine, where I am able to go, but my travel party cannot?:

My first thought would be that they offer trip insurance whenever you book - so the automatic response would be that they would not refund/put points back in your account if you decided to decline the insurance.
HOWEVER - given the extreme circumstances (I assume you lost president's week because of Sandy), they MIGHT take pity on you. One phone call should give you a real answer....

You are still outside the 30-day mark, so your points would not yet go into holding. But, the borrowed points will probably not be put back. If you are still inside your banking deadline, you could bank some forward and use the borrowed points for some other trip, if you like.

That said, I've taken a couple solo trips. They can really be quite fun. Might be worth doing, if only to get out of the cold for a while.

We just got back from our Christmas/NYE trip, and as disappointed as I was to cancel our February break is cancelled so we have cancelled. Instead we have rescheduled for end of June/Fourth of July.

Is there another time you can go? Can you reschedule? Or would you like to go solo and do some must do's? We always have a bucket list of things we would like to do, in addition to relaxing.
