Any night owls here?

Oh yeah and there can be no sounds or SNORING! I had a friend who snored so loud, I swear he probably woke up the cows in the next county. :rotfl2:

What about sounds of dumpster pick-up trucks banging the dumpsters outside your window around at 6am? :confused3 :sad2:

Sweet sounds of the city waking you up. Who would trade that for some singing birds? I sure wouldn't :earboy2:

Agreed...I'd take the soothing sounds of police sirens any day!

What about the jerk in the next building who insists on using a megaphone at all hours of the early morning? Honestly... who needs a megaphone??

Well I'm sometimes up by 6am so that doesn't matter and I can't hear it.

But snoring lasts ALL night long and that's SOOOO annoying. Especially when you try to push them out of the bed and they roll over and you're trapped like a caged animal! :rotfl2:

So glad to see some other night owls on the DIS! Left to my own devices, I'd stay up until 2 or 3 every night and sleep until 9 or 10. In fact, that's just what I do when I'm on my once-a-month night shift week. I work for the online edition of a major newspaper and we have a fairly small staff. We trade off that production shift and all work one week a month doing the edition from about 9 pm to 3 am (or however long it takes). See, we have to wait for everything to be edited and laid in to the print edition before we know exactly what goes online, so it's a lot of hurry-up-and-wait, work a little, wait some more, etc. Thankfully, I'm very fast and usually get done between 1:30 and 2, and I have broadband and can work from home!

However, when I'm done, I can't just go right to sleep. I like to lay in bed and watch some more tv, but can only do that if DH is off on a business trip (which he often is). He just got home tonight, so he's in there snoozing and that's out. So I figured I'd poke around the DIS. Usually there's not much going on here after my shift, but it's always a good way to wind down.

I work nights and try to DIS there-if it's quiet enough-but even on days off I'm up til 1-2am-Always have and always will be a true night owl!!!
