That was my first thought too but if you check out her twitter, there would be no guest able to post a castaway cay photo like she did (showing an empty beach) unless she was a CM... it also appears others on twitter refer to her as a CM... and it also appears to be her own personal twitter where she's complaining about her BF's treatment on a delta plane... sooooo I'm assuming she's an innocent CM who has a twitter account and once Disney discovers that she has guests following her they'll find a way to shut her down lol

Yes. If you reference being a Disney Cast Member, even on your personal social media accounts you can be "counseled". I dared to post a critique of an early preview of Aladdin while I was working at the Disney Store, and I got called into my manager's office about it. Thankfully it was simply a matter of me removing my employment from my Facebook (and blocking the fellow CM who complained to her that I had dared to critique it) and all was good. A Twitter with followers who know she is a CM will in all likelihood have to be deleted and if she opens another one not let those people know what it is and NOT mention that she is a CM.

Sorry about using caps earlier, it was definitely not intended as shouting, I had been working in caps and had forgotten it on. yes there are definitely about 80 people still on castaway as my daughter is one of them, as an extremely stressed and scared parent I was just trying to find out if they all ok, that's all I wanted to hear

My understanding is there are regularly somewhere between 100-200 CMs living on the island. Most were evacuated last week. There is a skeleton crew, likely considered a Ride Out team, who did remain on the island -- how many are part of that Ride Out team I don't know.

I have a daughter stuck on the island so it is extremely stressful, and yes there are about 80 odd people there, I spoke to her just before the storm ht yesterday, they had to grab their valuables and head for the shelter

Are you positive she is still on castaway cay? I know in the past they have evacuated many of the cast on one of the ships and then the remaining crew preps the island before traveling to shelter at Abaco.

They were left to prep the beaches and had to use the shelter, she is definitely there as I spoke to her at around 18h35 yesterday, the shelter is on the island

I am sorry if I doubted you, I just can't figure out any way they'd have that many people there during a hurricane. The few times i've visited i've been told there are only about 30-50 people there and others come from the ship and neighboring islands. Having 80+ there during a Cat 4 hurricane sounded unbelievable to me. I hope your daughter is ok.

Thank you, yes all the locals were sent home, most of the people there are foreigners including my daughter, I guess they have faith in the shelter, all I want is to know she is fine, it is extremely worrying not knowing or even where to begin asking, I cant seem to find any Disney contact numbers to find out if they send people out to check on them...

How scary. After you hear from her please post details of how they managed. We were on the first cruise after Hurricane Sandy and the island crew worked so hard to clean up the damage.
