I don't think it will happen nearly as much at SDL, if at all. There's so many foreigners in Shanghai that I don't think it's as exciting for them anymore. Beijing, on the other hand, gets a lot of Chinese tourists from all over China, including places where there aren't many foreigners, so they get really excited haha![]()
This is unlikely to happen at SDL. I have long blonde ringlets, and have only been approached once for a photo on my two visits (and that was while I was Disneybounding as Minnie). There were a few other blondes in my group as well on my last visit, and as far as I know, none of them were approached for photos.
In SDL it's all about if you NOTICE it or not. We had NUMEROUS occasions where people were obviously taking pictures or even VIDEOING without coming up to us, or taking pictures with us, just of us. #creepy. One day in particular was bad since the 3 of us met up with some other friends from WDW and there were about 7 of us milling in front of the castle. People basically never asked, and if they did, it was AS they were taking the picture. (HK & Japan we found everyone would ask).
Apparently it's a thing over there to take pictures of white people and post it on wechat and other such things? It's what a friend living there told us. Guess it all depends on experience lol!!
