The Disney in room gifts are so disappointing, is this really all thry have on the website? What happened to all the floral arrangements?

We were just looking at them for my granddaughters 2nd bday. None were appealing enough unfortunately. Come with mostly snack items I can buy myself. Pretty sad.

Yes! The only one I like is the 70th anniversary one and we already have that picture frame from the gift shop.

So that makes it even worth less than the ridiculous $350 price tag, you can literally put what they offer together yourself. Very lazy.

Now using an outside service and have to sneak away to call for delivery which is going to be hard to do. It seems like it would be so easy for them to just contract with one of the many local florists for arrangements. So many people celebrate there, i dont get it

Aulani is great. We had been to Hawaii previously twice, once on 2012 and again in 2017. We did do pictures on the beach in 2017 at the “secret beach” spot about 800’ from Aulani and had dinner there and saw the pools and resort but not rooms. We purchased a lot of points there before ever staying there an stayed for the first time over Christmas break. We loved it an already have planned for going back regularly at least every 18 months or so normally. As long as you don’t mind the Disney Vibes with seeing some characters walking around and children, then Green Turtle bay resort would be better to rent a room or beach bungalow at or Outrigger on the beach in Honolulu was great in 2012 and 2017.

Aulani is great. We had been to Hawaii previously twice, once on 2012 and again in 2017. We had extra points from buying a max loaded resale contract that needed to be used up before we were going to be able to make it and treated my business Partner to 7 nights ocean view studio at Aulani for their 20th. They made it 3 nights and changed their last 4 nights on their own to a beachside bungalow at Green Turtle bay. It was too many children for them with not having their grandkids around. It gave them a home base to explore the island from but it wasn’t their vibe with the characters and children even in early off season November. They are also not Disney people and never have been to the parks but may have take their grandkids kids in another year or two to the parks. Us on the other hand loved it with a 4, 6 and 8.5 year old. My wife is categorically a Disney obsessed adult who will take trips by herself to do run Disney. I can see us going happily even without the kids someday.

We've been to Aulani 3 times without kids (ours are grown), at least 3-4 Disney cruises without kids, and many WDW and DLR trips without kids. At Aulani, we've learned to not get a chair by the splash pad or slide, but otherwise, other people's kids are just background to me. I don't see myself outgrowing Disney any time soon

I am def a disney adult so I am used to it. We wont go on any other cruises except Disney Cruise line and when I travel with my cousins I do travel with kids, I honestly dont really notice it either, it is the parents that bother me more, putting their kids on their shoulders during fireworks and blocking everyone or trying to push their kids in front of you to see the cruise shows when you've been waiting a while and they just rolled up is where I get super annoyed. D23 is more of our super Disney nerd event That has less kids.

I dont think I will ever outgrow Disney. Im already preparing to walk my Easter reservation for next year as soon as my 11 months hit next month

I am really wanting Grand Floridian so I can try all the restaurants and it would be nice to stay in a boardwalk view room for the first time. Perhaps stay in my baylake in a one bedroom for the first time. I still have yet to stay at okw ssr cfw brv and hhi. Perhaps ill throw in one of those. Im leaning towards cfw although id love to go there for halloween it seems almost impossible.

Im also considering the cruise swap. The treasure, destiny and adventure are the only dcl ships I havent been on and im one cruise away from platinum ️

Full disclosure, I wont be buying it until at least next year because I need to pay off resale #3 first before I get into that one BUT it doesnt hurt to discuss.

If we love Aulani, im pretty sure we're going to want it to be there and im pretty sure we're going to talk about it while we're there. I try not to go on Disboards when im on vacation because i get sucked in and then my wife gets pissed So i want to have some info to convince her while shes there and all happy.

We are already talking about going back in September if we like it because its low point season and we want to explore more of the island. This trip is going to be 9 days at Aulani because we are going with the intention of seeing if we want to buy there so we're not going to leave much.

2. Is fidelity and Dvc resale market still the top two for Aulani?

3. I usually buy with Mason as my title company and ive been really happy with them, can I not do that for Hawaii?

I think talking or figuring stuff out so far in advance is pointless. So many things can happen before next year. For Aulani buying resale makes sense, direct does not. Thats really all you need to figure out right now. Just like any other resort owning gives you priority at 11 months. If you dont mind piecing together last minute trips owning isnt needed as of now. Again things can change.

It does take longer. But nothing that would make me not buy over it.
