Any new restaurants at DW since 2015

We used to go to DW regularly and were accustomed to doing a table service everyday. In those years from 2005 to 2015 I feel like we hit all of the big players, sometimes several times. Have any new restaurants come out that we should try. If you can't think of anything with that regard, how about your favorite place now. With this trip we will have QS DP but still plan to do at least a couple of table service meals. Thanks for your help.

A few that come to mind:
  • Satuli Canteen - yes it's quick service, but it's elevated quick service and my favorite on property
  • Ronto wraps - these could be a large snack or small meal, you get them in Galaxy's Edge
  • Salt and Straw - amazing ice cream at Disney Springs
  • Wine Bar George in Disney Springs
  • Steakhouse 71 - replaced The Wave at Contemporary. The best value for steaks in my opinion, although they aren't necessarily the best you can get
  • Jiko - same restaurant, but the menu has been updated several times since 2015 and the new options are great
  • Geyser Point

There's a lot that has opened in the last 8-9 years. In addition to the above...

The Riviera Resort opened in 2019 (it's on the skyliner) and includes Topolino's a signature restaurant (open for character breakfast and regular dinner), Bar Riva, and quick service Primo Piatto ... all are great. I'd definitely recommend trying Topolino's if you can.

Amare at the Swan Reserve

Rosa Mexicano at Dolphin

Storybook Dining at Artist Point (character dinner at Wilderness Lodge)

Some more in Disney Springs:
  • Jaleo
  • Summer House
  • Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
  • Eet (quick serve)
  • Polite Pig (quick serve but worth noting it's recommended in the Michelin guide)
  • Chicken Guy (quick serve; Guy Fieri concept)

Steakhouse 71 is that new??
I guess I just assumed it had been there forever. (or at least a decade), I hope they bring back Steakhouse 55 some day. :(

Yes, opened on October 1st, 2021. The day that the 50th anniversary celebration started.

I had a reservation for its first day of operation.

I know it’s been around for a while now, but we love Nomad Lounge. We used to go before Pandora opened. Few people knew it was there because it was basically a dead end. I highly recommend it!

1. Space 220 is a tough ticket to get but it's a unique experience you have to try.

2. Shiki Sai, also in Epcot. Basically Tokyo Dining with an entirely different menu and better service. Ate there for the first time today. Had the Temaki Sushi where they bring out nori and fixings and you roll your own Maki rolls. I've eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants in many different cities, and that was a unique experience. Other dishes we had, agedoshi tofu, tempura fish, tomato garden salad, all delicious with the former and latter unique to the property. And pricing was better than TD as well.

3. Topolinos is fantastic, well worth the price for dinner foodwise, and well worth the price for character experience in the morning, with good enough breakfast to make it a must do.

4. Toledos has a lot of fans. I think it's good not great, and that a lot of the love it gets was from when you could eat there for one dining credit.I prefer eating at the rooftop bar at Coronado, outdoors, beautiful view.

5. jaleo is what Toledo pretends to be. Stellar.

6. Wine Bar George is great for brunch, good for other times.

7. Sebastians is my favorite budget sit down in all of WDW.

It used the be The Wave
Poster may be thinking of the Concourse Steakhouse. It closed when Chef Mickeys expanded. My memory is the Wave opened to replace the steakhouse at the current location

Interesting Contemporary lore! Just for fun I searched up Steakhouse 55 and it's from the Disneyland hotel ☺️

I wish it would go back to The Wave…. Our family has only had 1 good experience at Steakhouse 71 and that was for lunch. Dinner there has been a let down every time. On one occasion they never delivered steak knives until 15 minutes after the food was served.

Others seem to enjoy it though and I’m sure we are the rare miss.
