Any new discounts at DC lately ???

Hey,
We would like to go "back" to DC in August, but I am having a hard time finding ANY discounts !!! We visited last November, and loved it, would like to go back......but its a little too much $$$ without any discounts. I called DC and they pretty much said......even though we were returning guests.........too bad, NO discounts. During the time we are going it looks like they have a LOT of dates open, wonder why they wouldnt offer at least "something" ???.......sigh.......not even AAA.
Any one know of any Discounts that are available for use in August ???

I would like to know, too! I just can't pay that rack rate...especially for a 5 year old! It KILLS me!

I have in my notes that I got a returning guest promotional postcard last year on July 26th.

That coupon/postcard was for $50 off per person for a dolphin swim. It was only for certain dates from August 17th-some date in mid-September. The pin code was RETURN.

Of course, this is last years postcard, so I am eagerly awaiting to see if I have a new postcard soon.

There's also AAA discounts. Not that those discounts are much, I think it is less than $10 per ticket, but every little bit helps.

I have a swim scheduled for August 21st, so I am eagerly waiting for discounts as well. I figure if I have to utilize the $50 change fee, I would still save $150.

Thanks for any the help and tips. We are going the first week of August so the AMEX codes will not work, good tip though! I called again to tried to convince DC that they should give me a discount........no-beans.....didnt work. July and August is there busy season and she said she has NEVER seen discounts in August!
We had such a good time when we went last year, that I went ahead and booked it anyway......at FULL Rack Rate !!!
Ahhhh what are you going to do.........its worth it for our family, we are VERY much looking forward to it!
Just trying to cope...........never paid rack rate for anything before! Its almost twice as much $$$ as the 7-day passes to Universal for our family of 5 !!!

We booked AXPFLA for almost a week earlier...when the discount came out I think it started 8/18, but it could be the earlier dates have booked up.

Going to correct my own post. It looks like DC is filling up for the end of August. The earliest available date for the AMEX promo is 8/29. The end date is correct - 9/30.
