Any need to FP+ PFH?

Our trip is the first week of May and we are off site, so I'm not-so-patiently waiting out my time to book our FP choices. We are gonna shoot to get E&A even up until/through our trip, hopefully with some success. That being said, I would like try getting FPes for rides but I'm worried about long standby lines for Cinderella and Rapunzel (Ariel, too). Since low crowds are expected, I'm probably over thinking this but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Please let me know if I'm being irrational here...or if I have a legitimate concern. I assume that waiting inside in the hot temps would be a welcomed joy, I'm worried about my kids having melt downs in line.

Ok, a new question sort of related to this one: since I'll be 30 days out for booking FPes, what happens if I've made a selection for something, example A&E and I am able to hook a better one a few days later... Will the system automatically cancel the first one? Or I guess in other words, can you FP the same M&G, ride, meal, etc more than once per trip? (I don't know if this makes sense, I'm sorry!)
