Any need for clothes?

oops!! I guess I should have said these clothes My family wil be spending 6 days at WDW and 4 days in Cocoa Beach (Space Center, beach, local animal refuge (Merritt) Is there any need for tennis shoes or jeans? We are So Cal people so we like it hot, but we'll be new to humidity. I don't want to bring anything I don't need. It never cools off right? Not even at night? We hike here in shorts and Teva's. We won't be doing dangerous hiking, or looking for Crocs or anything. Whatch think?

No it never cools down. You will want light weight clothing. Forget the jeans-even jean shorts will be too hot.

Hot, Hotter, Hottest!!! I am a native California girl myself and have now lived in Minnesota for a really long time, where we get very humid so am fairly used to it now. The humidity in Florida at that time of year is tremendous and doesn't get much better even after the sun goes down. Jeans and jackets, not necessary. If you wanted to play it safe you could maybe bring a pair of capris and a long sleeved t, they at least won't take up as much room. The only other thing would be a rain slicker because thunderstorms are very likely at some point during the afternoon and evening, so you might want some rain protection. As far as tennis shoes, I think they are a must if your going to be walking in the parks all day. I can't stand sore feet. I always take them and use the little anklet socks because they kind of soak up the sweaty feet. I am sure many would disagree with me on this, but to me flip flops, sandals and even crocs just don't give me enough support.
