My husband and I both ordered a pair. I was just wondering if that is weird for him to wear them. Do guys wear them or will my dh just look silly in them?

I have seen lots of men/boys at Disney in crocs.... whole families of croc wearers from little children to the Mom's and Dad's and in one case even the Granddad!

It is kind of comical that we notice the feet of so many people in Crocs - it's like a secret society or something!!

i vote for silly looking on guys, but to each his own

DH and my dad both have them. Both were reluctant to try them, and both are glad they did. :)

DH told me mine were stupid looking, then he ended up wearing them around the house a bit and he liked them so much he stole them! I had to get another pair. Now he's a bigger fan than I am. He wore them every day of our two week trip last summer and he now swears by them. We saw lots of guys wearing them in the parks, at the beach, etc.

Mario Batali was wearing them on Iron Chef America the other night..I though "oh, he has on those ugly shoes" but if they're good enough for him to cook in, they must be comfortable.

I saw Mario wearing the Crocs too. Just on another show. He went riding off on a motor scooter wearing a bright purple pair. Too funny!

I wear them. A friend of mine turned me on to them. My wife refused to wear them (too ugly) for many months. Now she loves them.

I think they are very ugly... but I don't care... comfort is more important.

i would wear them if the made them big enough for my feet. I guess people with size 15s dont need comfort :confused3

I'm a guy.... and I waer my Crocs every day. Admittedly, it is strange, though, when I see all these young kids wearing the same shoes as me. :)

Grumpy_Disney_Dad--- they DO make them in a larger size. Well, some of them, anyway.
We couldn't find any locally, but if you go to the website, and check by style, you will find that some styles come in larger sizes. I just ordered a pair for my DH in a size XXXX (16-17) Beach style in black.

My son is a bonafide "Crocaholic" (just like me). My husband laughed at us when we started wearing Crocs, then one day I saw him trying on my son's Crocs!!! You know what happened next, don't you? I had to order my husband his own pair!!! They haven't arrived yet, but I'm pretty sure he is going to love them as much as we do! I ordered him a pair of black Caymans. He wanted me to get him some without holes, but I talked him out of that since he mainly wants them for summer and I was afraid his feet would sweat in the "hole-less" style. If he likes the Caymans, I will order him some of the other style without holes for him to wear in the cooler seasons!

I've been curious about crocs and have one questions. Has anyone worn them in the heat and humidity of a WDW summer? The thing that keeps me from purchasing them is the fact that they are plastic and the thought of my feet sweating and sliding around in them all day not to mention the odor, are my fears well founded? I normally alternate between a pair of Tevas and a pair of Birks and crocs are cheaper. I kinda like the loud colors :) . What style(s) would you recommend?

DH thinks they are horrible, but DS9and I wear them. I haven't seen very many guys wearing them. One dad at DS's school wears them - he's a doctor.

HarryLeg-
So far I have only worn mine with socks, so I don't know if your feet will get sweaty and slip around or not. Other posters have said even when it is really hot the vents keep your feet cool. Crocs are also anti-microbial so they shouldn't stink.

Four males, four stories, so far...

DH - Laughs at mine all the time, but agreed he'd wear them for gardening if nothing else. Got him chocolate ones and I told him I ask only that he put them in his suitcase for the trip so he'll have them if needed.

DS9 - Heard Dad laughing at them and refused to try them at first, but lately has been squishing around in them happily. Got him chocolate too and now he's asked for some dark blue.

DStepson (20 something) - Said there was 0% chance he'd wear them and sends me links to clown shoe sites as a joke. Not ordering him any.

DStep Son-In-Law (also 20 something) - Saw them in a store while shopping with my stepdaughter and pointed them out (on his own!) and said he thought they were cool. Has requested khaki.

After our trip in April, we will see who's laughing at the end of the day. : )

I'm a guy with some knock-off Crocs and they are the ugliest. I wear them all over the place, and compared to what some men wear at WDW, the shoes are the least of your worries.:earsboy:

The ER doctor and both my Dad's cardiac doctors were wearing them (all guys). Do they wear them in public I don't know. But apparently some do.

I just received mine and Hubby's. I got the black Niles for me and the Chocolate Brown Caymans for Hubby. We want to have them totally broke in before our trip in May. Hubby is laughing :rotfl2: about how ugly they are, but says if his feet donn't hurt, stink or sweat by the end of the day he doesn't care how ugly they are he's wearing them. :cool1:
