Any luck with National ID's and Coupons codes

I had that feeling. Maybe they feel if folks are avoiding all other rental agencies and coming over to them they are acquiring new clients.

This idea is the whole basis of how Hotwire works. Hotels don't mind letting empty rooms being booked at a cheaper rate in hopes that you'll like the place and return. I know it worked for us when we got the Hyatt MCO for only $59 + tax. I loved the convenience so much, I booked it directly thru Hyatt for 2 more trips.
Maybe National knows people just want a good deal and if they can pull customers from Budget and Dollar, their cars won't be parked in the garage unused.

Exactly!:thumbsup2 ITA!

Anyone with any codes or coupons for end of Sept? Can use the code but no coupons that I know of yet.

That is an E-coupon, no need to print.
Are you absolutely sure Dan? I just booked from Dec 6-Dec 15, got a Cobalt for $133...thrilled because that's about $50 less than the Cobalt I had rented from the 6-11th. But, the reservation stated that I may have to show the coupon. But, I don't have a coupon!!! arrghhh.
Okay, I see where that ND2119071Q is an Ecoupon. But, I used ID # 8572967 in addition..anyone know what that one is?? Man, I would hate to get 'caught' at the counter.

Thanks, I thought I was going to be carless but was able to get a great deal! I have been struggling with the absance of any codes for dates beyond June and well, with June nearly here and my vacation catching up quickly I was getting worried I'd have to play ME, rent a car to get groceries by bussing it to the Dolphin, pu car, get stuff & make the change of hotels, return car and bus back to meet the family. Now I can just get the car at MCO, do what I want when I want, store the unneeded first night stay luggage in the trunk, move hotels, go to DTD whenever I want, visit whichever resorts I want when I want, get to my ADR's, shop offsite, and not have to deal with ME for the ride back to MCO. I have spent a few hours on the computer--first I had a weekly rental for $79 from dolphin, then added the second week for $120--then tried it for the full two weeks from dolphin and it went to $220. Then went to MCO adding in the extra two days and upgrading from compact to Midsize to use EA and avoid the lines at MCO so for $225 I have two weeks in a midsize and I can come and go as I please! I couldn't be happier.
THANK YOU:thumbsup2

What code and coupon did you use?

:drive: I particpated in this thread earlier and said I'd let you know how my rental went at WDW using one of these codes (67) for a car at WDW in late June.

I haven't gone there yet but I just got back from an unexpected weekend trip to Spokane, WA where I got a chance to try this out.

I booked using the same code (67) and a weekend e-coupon and everything went fine- it worked - no need to worry, I'm fine with my upcoming rental in Orlando. If anything happens, I'll post here July 2nd!

Any of the codes listed in this thread seem to work fine but coupons have expirations so that will vary so keep checking their website. (The latest weekly e-coupon ends June 30th) and no, you don't need to show an E-coupon at the counter, even though the website states you might need to. They are referring to paper coupons. If a coupon page comes up, you can print it and take it with you but many people on this post find that they are never asked for it. :drive:

I used your dates of July 18- Aug 1 at National with code 8572957
and coupon ND2119071Q ($35.00 off a week rental) and got a price of $330.68 for a mini van. Then the dates of July 18- July 21 with code 8572957 and no coupon for $117.00.

This worked wonderfully. :) Thank you. Would you tell me who the code is associated with and where I can find the coupon to print?

The code is from travel solutions I have been told. And the coupon is an e-coupon. The coupon was to have expired last year but National is still allowing folks to use it. As far as the code from travel solutions some folks on this board are leary of using it. I have use it to book our June, October and December trip. I called yesterday regarding the code and was told there was no problem with me using it and I was all set to go. So you will have to make your own decission about the code and if you want to use it. Some folks here have used it with no problems. You will probably have to read a bit back on some posts on this thread.

It is a lot of past posts to read so I hope to ease your mind, I have read from the beginning of this thread and no one has had a problem using the codes.

There was even talk of people not wanting others to call National about the codes, didn't want constant attention brought to it, in case they decide to take it away, I guess.

The coupon ND2119071Q ($35.00) states that it expires June 30th. (There was another coupon on this thread that was from last year). If you apply the coupon and it works for a date after June 30th then great! National has accepted it. It's the same thing with the code(s). If National won't accept it will say so at the time of booking. No one has had a problem with these when they go to pick up their rentals. (I'll be wondering how many other people in line with me are wondering if they'll get "stopped" :rolleyes1 )

OMG Wisbucky.....THANK YOU SO MUCH :worship: that is fab!!!! So when I checked for the July 18- Aug 1 I got $364. with the codes you gave me (still great price) so what did you do? I put p/u MCO d/o MCO..the dates, times and codes???? My dh doesnt want for the full 2 weeks (doesnt want to drive on vacation...lol), that is why I put in both sets of dates, so right now I have 3 days booked for $117 all incl. I have been looking for weeks :worship:

Ok I too am answering my own question...that's not good is it...that means I am talking to myself and answering....oh oh I think I have lost it....:rotfl: Well I dont' care cuz I got my answer...I missed a number in the coupon code. So again a big thanks to wisbucky for your help. I will wait til morning to ask dh which he would prefer!!!:cool1:

My dh doesnt want for the full 2 weeks (doesnt want to drive on vacation...lol),

I was thinking about this too.......After a long day at the parks, who wants to drive? But then I remembered a few trips on the buses in June, multiple stops....and then I read on another website that the bus system is having problems, seems Disney is cutting back on buses.......(I wondered how this gas crunch was going to affect service)......so that means less but fuller buses.............and that did it for me. Rental car it is! :drive:
