My friend's daughter has an opportunity to go to WDW but needs to purchase her own 5 day hopper. Is there any way for her to get a discounted ticket?

I've read USSSA has great prices, BUT...very resrictive, no room for changing anything, refund etc

If you're trying to save $, I'd suggest leaving off the park hopper option, and doing 1 park per day (MK can take two days).

I've never heard of USSSA but just checked it out and their prices are MUCH lower than UT. What are the risks associated with buying from them? Are they unable to link with MM+ in advance? I don't think I've ever seen a better offer other than the military salute tickets.

My work has a discount program for many companies, and has discounted Disney tickets. I think the 5 day hopper is sold for the same price as a 5 day base ticket would be normally. It would be worth her parents just seeing if they have a similar program, and having her reimburse them.

There really is not a deep discounted ticket. Undercover Tourist is probably one of the only and best non-Disney sites to get any kind of Disney ticket. It's still expensive though.

My first thought is that, A.) this is an unfortunate turn of events in which she may just not be able to go and B.) not to sound rude, but how broke is broke?

I was also curious about the USSSA tickets. USSSA is an amateur sports organization so the tickets are ideal for groups having tournaments, workshops, etc in Orlando, but they also sell to the public. The major limitations are the tickets are valid only during a relatively narrow time frame (e.g. June 1-Aug 31, 2014, Sept 1-Oct 31, 2014 or Nov 1-Dec 31, 2014), max out at 5 days and cannot be upgraded in any way.
