Any idea why the CR is booked solid for Nov 29- Dec 6?

We have garden wing rooms and just tried to upgrade to the Tower. The only rooms available for those dates at all are Deluxe Garden Suites! I know Pop Warner is there for part of the week, but can't figure out why the CR is so full when there is availability at the Poly, WL, and GF!

Have you tried each individual day? A lot of Floridians come in during the first weekend of Dec. to see the decorations.

Wow I hope this changes, my dh will be at a conference at the swan but the contemporary was on my list to switch to once the conference is over. I was interested in a garden view also, hmm, looks like I might have to look around. Maybe another poster can give some insight.

The Contemporary is a conference resort, so maybe there is a conference scheduled for those dates??? All I can tell you is that that week is "supposed" to be a slower week for the resorts/parks. Those dates are a LONG way from now and you should definitely keep trying. I am almost sure something will open up the closer you get to your dates.

I checked with our agent at DU and she said there were no Tower Rooms at all with either Rack Rate or AAA. Also checked the WDW website, and all it showed was the Garden Suites. I guess I can't change with Expedia since we used DU. I'll just have to hope some rooms open up!

This is normally a busy week for the MK area resorts. This is due to the many celebrities that are there for the taping of the Christmas Parade, which usually takes place during that time frame. A majority of the guests and others that are needed to put this together usually take up quite a few of the rooms around the monorail resorts.

Sprinkle in any conferences that are scheduled and it makes for a busy time at the MK resorts. We were wondering the same thing a couple of years ago when we came down the first week of December.

Well I guess my thought of upgrading to tower is out. I just have a standard room, but asked to be close to the monorail. I am going Nov 28-Dec 2nd. I do know the christmas parade is that weekend..... so maybe that has something to do with it.

The DU agent did tell me to keep checking back for availability in the CR Tower. I will just hope someone cancels. If not, the wings will be wonderful, and we will enjoy ourselves tremedously! We (well... me really-LOL!) can't wait to go!
