Any idea what would happen if......

I'm probably worrying for nothing, but just in case......
We have an occupancy date of June 7th for SSR. We had been told we would have a June 1st date when we purchased. No big deal, except..... I have already made reservations for a short trip starting on June 8th. IF there is another delay which moves the occupancy date AFTER June 7th, technically I would not be able to keep this reservation. Does anyone know what Disney DVC would do under these circumstances? I suppose I should just call my guide???

Belle, no worries, Disney won't leave you homeless. Worst case, they will find you another room, either at another DVC resort or one of the deluxe resorts. Diana

Don't worry - DVC has set up a giant tent in the Fort Wilderness Campground to house anyone with SSR ressies affected by a delay in opening; they'll even provide sleeping bags!

Dancind is correct - DVC will take care of you in the (IMHO unlikely) event of such a delay.

I agree that Disney has some customer service aces up its sleeve, but I don't know what they are, because they cant close the contract, if the property isnt done. And if you dont own points, you have nothing to stay on (inventory to trade).....

But, I do think Disney cut the booking windows short to be sure the construction would deliver on time.

We're due to stay the very first night at the very first building. If we get screwed, you guys will be the first to hear about it.

Well, second, first MS will have to listen to my tantrums....

No wait third, because after I call Disney, I'll have to call Uncle Roy and tell him about it and how much he's missed.....

But I'll be posting very quickly, dont you worry.
