My new husband hasn't been to WDW in 25 years-- I'm taking him this October. His first question was "Do they have beer there?" He loves his high alcohol-microbrew-IPA beverages. We have scanned the menus at most of the Epcot restuarants, and some of the resorts- anyone know off hand where to find some "different" beers on site? Thanks!

there is a place on the boardwalk @ disneys boardwalk inn....they have red rocket beer i forget the name but when looking @ the back of the hotel its on the opposite side as flying fish cafe!!....best place for a beer in disney and has outside dining, cant miss the huge kegs inside brewing the beer!!!

PP must mean Big River Brew House. ---------------------Here is their list :drinking1 -----------------------------
Southern Flyer Light Lager - "light gold, light-bodied, extremely refreshing"
Gadzooks Pilsner - "golden, medium-bodied, crisp finish"
Steamboat Pale Ale - 'golden color, medium bodied, flavorful finish"
Rocket Red Ale - "red in color, robust body, malty finish"
Sweet Magnolia Brown Ale (Winter Seasonal) - "light brown, medium-bodied, subtle sweet finish"
Summer Seasonal Wowser's Wheat - "light gold, light-bodied, effervescent finish"

My DH loves the Rose & Crown Pub-------------Here is their list:drinking1 ---------------
Bass Ale, Boddingtons English Pub Ale, Harp Lager, Stella Artois, Tennents, Strongbow Cider, and Guinness Stout

Le Cellier might have a few of the beers from Unibroue, which would right up your DH's alley.

Big River's beers are pretty good, but I don't think they make an IPA.

The German pavillion in Epcot used to have something on the strong side, might have been a doppelbock.

For the most part, the rest of WDW is a good beer wasteland. :sad2:

LeCellier is a good spot for those unibroue beers. Otherwise, tell him to order a beer and a shot of tequila.;)

Too funny Micca! Thanks for your help everyone. I'm hoping there will be lots of unique choices at the Food & Wine Festival too.

Le Cellier has Unibroue beers? **dies**

And I can't have any next month! **pouts*

Well, I'll just have to go back again when I can have some:P

Definitely check out Le Cellier.

I don't think any of the beers at Big River Grille are over 6.5% ABV. Best bets as mentioned are Cellier for Unibroue (they have Maudite, La Fin Du Monde and Trois Pistoles - all 8% or higher), Brown Derby (La Fin Du Monde and Trois Pistoles) or Sommerfest at Germany (Spaten Optimator at 7.2%).

You can also "take out" a Unibroue at Cellier but it is a slow process - we did this in May.
