Any guests arriving November 1 to 30 receive FP+ testing invites?

I check in November 30, and Fantasmic was an option finally on all my dates. I paid attention especially on the party dates (Tuesday Dec 3 & Thursday Dec 5) but I believe it was there the other days as well. No Wishes or Illuminations but I have hope they'll show up. When I did them yesterday (11/1) there were only a few choices at each park.
 
Your IT rep was incorrect. I was able to link a will call number to my MDE with no issues.

I was able to link my ap will call to my MDE and make fpp with no problem in Aug. The problem was when I got to Epcot with my will call confirmation it took a long time , with lots of confusion, to actually get and activate my AP. They sent me from window to window, cm's called other cm's on the phone, and they wrung their hands. None wanted to activate my AP because they were sure it would delete all the MDE info and fp's. They insisted that AP's should not be linked into MDE until they are activated.

Once the guest relations cm was assured over the phone that he could activate my ap and the sky would not fall, he did it. It was fine, no problems. I did thank him for being so careful with my account though.

So cm's are apparently being told will calls should not be linked.
 
So I checked for Dec 5th, and there are tons of FP+ options available so my question is...do I change our schedule and switch Epcot and DHS days? Or do I just assume they will eventually open for the week of the 9th also...like when the 60 day window opens?
 
On my "HS day", it would let me 'edit or change' my FP+ selections to open up fantasmic. I cancelled all of mine for that day and just went back into the day like I was making all new selections, then it was there. Hope that helps.

Absolutely! I can't take credit, tho. Someone told me to try that earlier in this thread. LOL. Glad you got what you wanted tho! Can't wait for ours to get here!!

My Personalize MagicBands menu item became Manage MagicBands again when my personalization timeframe ended. If you already personalized them, I wouldn't worry. What does it say when you click the Manage option?

It goes back to the old screen where it just gives you information about the MB. I am still 58 days out and was suppose to have until Oct 31 to personalize them.
I did end up wasting my time calling Disney, just for the first CM to tell me the problem was that fact that I had 2 accounts opened, then he said I had 3 accounts and put me on hold. A second CM got on the line and gave me the, I wasn't suppose to be able to do the MB's until 28 days before my trip and I should wait for that day to come and call them back if it still doesn't show up. So I guess I will keep checking and see what happens.

Guess I'm calling IT back tonight then. I was told last night that I couldn't link my will call PAP's with MDE because they have to be activated before they can link them.

I also have to talk to IT because my "personalize magic bands" link disappeared today. This was after I started to personalize them last week and went in last night to make one more update to a color selection. I was ready to order them tonight and now the personalization is gone.

If the CM was able to combine your accounts into one (which is a problem many people had) then I would wait and see what happens. If you wait until 28 days out, it will be too late to customize; the customization window closes at your 30 day mark. Again, many of the CMs do not understand how the system works. Just keep checking. I would recommend checking the webpage, not using the MDE app. Now and then try the login/logout and modify check in tricks to see if one finally works. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Definitely do not listen to this CM advice! My 30-day customization window closed Monday, 9/30, at midnight (technically 10/1), and I received my bands before lunch today, 10/2! They mean it when they say they're going to ship them right out to you. I wouldn't count on even being able to call the next morning and get things changed/customized before they ship.

Anyone with an existing reservation with MB access who waits until 28 days to customize or call about whether they can customize is going to be sporting a plain gray band...

:rotfl2: I did get an email this morning telling me they'd shipped and giving me a tracking number, so I knew they were coming today. (Have you checked your email today?) They spent all of yesterday in "processing" status, but the tracking shows they shipped before 6 p.m last night and still got here before lunch.

Yes, I have been checking my email, like every few minutes since I noticed the MB option closed and 'processing my order'. Guess this means tomorrow I get my MBs! :cool1: And yes, I will try it on and wear it around for a bit, or several bits. Just to make sure it fits right! :blush: :lmao:
 
I just talked to IT again and was again told that I cannot link PAP's until they are activated (used at least once). I was told that if the will call confirmation # is linked to a resort reservation, then maybe that's how people are getting their AP's linked to MDE. So for those of you who linked AP's did you have your will call # linked to a reservation first?

I was also told that my personalization of magic bands disappeared from MDE because they weren't supposed to be released for Nov yet and that I'll be able to customize them starting 28 days before arrival, until 10 days before arrival. I asked how a friend of mine was able to customize hers yesterday for her Dec trip and how dozens of people online have been able to customize theirs for Nov & Dec and he said he wasn't sure but that they shouldn't have been able to. He told me I should wait to receive an invite, 28 days before arrival, in order to customize my magic bands :confused3

I called IT back a little while later (a different # too) and was told by that CM that I am eligible to customize & receive magic bands but for some reason, the system dropped them. The CM said that he and his colleague were both unable to get them to appear in my account and they didn't know why. He said I may have to wait for them to reappear. In the meantime, he's going to escalate the IT ticket to see if someone higher up or with more experience can help.

If I can't get FP+, I'd at least like to have customized bands.
 
Thanks. That's exactly what I was hoping for....I was able to secure a Fantasmic!, but no MSEP or Wishes. I'll just keep trying.

They just released MSEP & Wishes till the end of October, they will probably be available for end of November in a couple of weeks.

My mother TODAY received the invite to test MBs and FP+ for our BWV ressie Nov. 2. The customization of our magic bands deadline is TOMORROW. If not for these boards, we'd be stuck with the grey ones I guess. She emailed me, knowing I already had it all under control :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

So, didn't receive MBs in the mail tonight when I got home from work, but I did receive my MB invite! If I had waited I would have missed out since my customize window closed last night! Glad I pay attention to the DISboard!
