Any guesses on Carsland opening date?

Trying to schedule a trip for next Spring and are trying to avoid huge crowds. It's looking like we have to go early- to -mid June and wondering if opening date has been mentioned beyond "June 2012". Any guesses if they will open it early June or wait until the summer crowds start up which is usually mid June right?

My guess is sometime between June 1 and 15, 2012. Maybe the Friday before Memorial Day (May 25) if it is ready.

I don't know, just a guess. But I'd think they would try to have it ready for June. However, things could happen to set that behind. If it was me (and I'm sure it will be as we plan to go then too )then I would go in July or Aug to be on the safer side.

My thinking behind this:

1) Better chance of it being open and/or fully open.
2) Socal APs blocked out
3) If Carsland does open in Spring or start of June, you can bet those days will be packed! As we saw with Mermaid and ST, locals will come and wait in line for hours because they are only there to see that one thing. My theory is it is better to wait for something to be up and running a little while, watch the crowds, and come up with a plan.

This is why I don't think it makes sense to go in the beginning of June "to avoid crowds". If something new is open, the crowds will be there. Unless, you are trying to avoid the opening of Carland. Maybe I misunderstood.

Anyway, that's my guess.

We keep hearing June, so we are pushing our vacation out a bit (september) so that hopefully all the kinks will be worked out and the crowds will have died out a bit.

Personally I just add about about 8 weeks to whatever the projected date is.
