For those who remember the TV show "Family Ties" - DS10 is like a young Alex P Keaton mixed in with the Amway guy - Always trying to think up different ways to make money. Anyway, as a last minute filler I found a "Businesses you can start Almanac". It lists thousands of different businesses, what they do, average start up costs, hidden costs, what you can expect to make etc... without getting into the whole tax codes, asset/liability/technical stuff that you need to know when you start a business.
He can't put the book down, and he has spent hours working on different business plans, marking off which ones he could do, which ones he would never do (usually because they involve something smelly) and so on.
Who'd of thought a $10 book could provide so much entertainment to a 10 year old kid???? LOL

I understand on a whim I got my DD who is 7 a knock knock book for her stocking. She hasn't put it down.

Pretty soon, I will know every knock knock known to man:rotfl2:

I don't know if it was a hit but my dh completely surprised me with the Witch and Wizard book I'd been dieing to read!! I was in shock but so happy!!! and it was just $10 too...:goodvibes

My mom seemed to really, really like the exercise shirt I bought her. She really made over it.

My eleven-year old son is loving his Snuggie for kids, which came with a bonus pair of those non-skid slipper socks. He wears them while playing GH3. I wish that I could post a pic.:lmao:

World of Warcraft playing/trading/collecting (:confused3) cards for my husband. I bought them as a joke, but he loved it. Apparently, you can get points, rare stuff, or other stuff (:confused3) on a card you can use in the game. Apparently, he's always wanted to buy a pack but thought he'd look dumb doing it. :lmao: I'm glad he liked it so much.

My SIL gave her granddaughter a remote control TARRANTUA Spider-big and furry! She LOVED that thing:rotfl2:

There was also an animated Monkey and an animated elephant that were cute.

When you put the banana next to monkey's mouth it acted like it was eating it. When you pulled it away-it tossed back its head and CRIED
:rotfl:

My hubby got me baking racks this year for my cookies and cakes. It actually brought me to tears.

I had mentioned that I needed them in passing once 3 months ago. It's one of those things I never think about until I need them, and I've never owned any.

He stored that little nugget away and got them for me for Christmas. Boy was I surprised! But I loved that he listened. :goodvibes

I got him, of all things Playdoh and Legos! He had mentioned a month ago or so that sometimes he wishes we could just play with things we did as a kid, just to destress. He looked lit up like a Christmas tree when he opened both. He's already opened every tub of Playdoh to play with and built a bunch of things with his new Legos.

Sometimes it's fun to play with things like kids again! :goodvibes

A few months ago we went to one of our local outlets and I saw a Kate spade bag that I loved. Since we had set a budget for Christmas this year, Ipretty much chalked it up.

Dh surprised me with the bag. I Love it!!

I got DH a bubble machine. He is so excited about it. His facebook status is: "XXX got a bubble machine for Christmas. Did you get a bubble machine? I don't think so!"

the Wii, my DD had no clue at all, didn't even ask for one.....she loves it

DH got me these: http://www.uggaustralia.com/ProductDetails.aspx?gID=w&productID=5678&model=Kensington I LOVE them!
DS likes his rifle cap gun. I forbid him from pointing it at anything alive. He was like Ralphie yesterday. He shoved Cros on over his footie pjs and put on a coat. He was happily popping away in the driveway. Dh thought it'd be great to give dd a microphone and amp. She loves it and has been narrating her every move with it for the last 24 hours!

I got a dreamcatcher and the Perfect Brownie Pan Set!

Oh my goodness ... your DS will be one of those teen millionaires!! That's so awesome. :goodvibes I never knew a 10 year old who was interested in starting a business. :thumbsup2

A HavocHeli Alien Combat remote control indoor helicopter set for DH. He loved it an even took it to my parent's family Christmas.

My DS is pretty spoiled and got a lot of really nice things that he is having a blast playing with. However his favorite item was the self inflating whoopee cusion that "santa" picked up for $3 :rotfl:
