I heard that most malware/spyware comes from adult websites. So if you stay off those you'll be OK.
When I looked it said only 30 day trial free. I guess I could download it then uninstall it after 30 days? There's still a free version of malwarebytes
Not true since I'm the only one using my computer and I still get it. I heard it can come from music sites, sweepstakes and even news stories you click on - very frustrating! Most, but not all. No one in my house visits adult websites
There's still a free version of malwarebytes. Go all the way to the bottom of the screen and choose the free download.
Malware can come from anywhere. The New York Times and Forbes for example were serving up malicious ads not that long ago.
Just like I said: adult websites. How many kids would visit forbes or NYT?
I'm not a fan of free protection.
I like Norton.... I wait for black Friday amazon specials and get the 10 license pack. Across my laptop, mobile, and desktops.... great savings.
Not malware but it helps a lot - AdBlock Plus is a free extension for your browser that blocks ads, including those that are potentionally malicious!
