If I were to book a RSG Skyauction week at Vacation Village at parkway would I have to pay any extra taxes at check in/out?

From Skyauction RSG web page:
Some resorts may have additional taxes from $10 to $50 depending on property and unit type chosen.

I fully understand that I may have to pay a refundable damge deposit as well as a late fee (if I was to check out late), [thanks spiceycat for this info.] but I am wondering about the above mentioned taxes.

Thank you

I asked this same question today! I specifically asked about Vacation Village. Here is the reply I got when I e-mailed Sky Auction:

These fees will be listed under the resort details so you are aware of all fees
before requesting a unit. Most resorts do not charge any fees at all.
The Vacation Village at Parkway does not have any additional charges.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I stayed there two years ago and loved it. Just won a Ready, Set, Go auction and reserved a week there. So happy to be going back in three weeks!

some timeshares in las vegas are obliged to collect the "transient occpancy" tax enacted by the nevada state and various counties within nevada...we won an auction once for a place in las vegas .....they said additional taxes would have to be paid......we never did have to pay anything extra once we checked in..... my take on this is .....skyauction is "covering their assets" by putting this "riders onto the auctions"

we have yet to run across a timeshare in florida which has to charge these taxes...

by the way did you both get "2 bedrooms at Vacation Village" with the ready set go auctions???

I wish I had gotten a 2 bedroom. I got the 1 bedroom unit with the full kitchen -- the bigger one (with the king bed and jacuzzi). Two years ago we had both A and B units but those 2 bedrooms don't seem to show up anymore. I feel lucky to get this one for the dates I wanted. Not much out there right now.

Thank you so much for the info.

I have not bid yet but am hoping to in the next few weeks (if it is still available).
What I am seeing for the week I am looking at is a one bedroom with a full or a partial kitchen.
We have two young kids so not really interested in a two bedroom. A one bedroom (with a full kitchen) is perfect for us. I have been looking at RSG for Dec for weeks and have not seen a 2 bedroom show up in the inventory.

One more quick ?:
Last night (early evening) on the RSG inventory the full kitchen unit I have been looking at for weeks DISAPPEARED. I was paniced to say the least. This morning it had reappeared.
Can anyone explain how exactly that happened? I'm thinking I had better bid on this week SOON before it disappears again.

Any info. would be really appreciated.

When someone holds a week it is placed on hold for 24 hours until it is confirmed. If it is not confirmed it goes back into the inventory. Maybe it disappeared and reappeared because of this. I know the inventory constantly changes. Good luck!

there will be lots of inventory for vacation village....since they now split the units and try to "market" more.....that is why the 2 bedrooms rarely show up....

and yes the inventory does fluctuate...

Thank you for the info. I am hopng to win an RSG auction in the next while for this property.
Have a great day.

On the Ready set go main page this is stated:
Check-in Dates Allowed: Anytime within the following date(s):
Now thru 6/30/2006
Check-out Dates Allowed: Anytime within the following date(s):
Now thru 7/7/2006
Minimum/Maximum Stay:
7 nights.

BUT when I search the ready set go database, a property shows available for mid December 2006. This is what I am interested in booking but according to the ready set go main web page it says only checkings until 6/30/2006 are available.
Can anyone clarify?
Thank you
