When we were in WDW in April we noticed several groups of families with their own personal tour guides. Now I see that the VIP Tour Service is mentioned on the WDW web site. Has anyone had any experience with this service? Is it worth the money? Do you get VIP entrance to all of the rides? Thanks in advance.:D

I don't know about Disney's VIP tour service but here is a link to a private VIP service that I looked into just for fun (would never actually spend that kind of money, though!). www.michaelsvips.com

I imagine the services are somewhat comaparable. It would be fun to try a tour like that!

Disney does not offer or sell any service that will provide priority access to any attractions. When you pay for a Disney VIP Tour Guide, you are paying for the convenience of having a custom-planned visit with a guide who knows the best ways to get around each park and knows the best times to visit certain attractions to experience minimal waits. The guides will go ahead of you to get FastPasses for your family using your admission tickets. You can also arrange for personal transportation to make your visit smoother.

This is what it says on the WDW website:

"Experience the VIP treatment as only Disney can provide. Our VIP Tour Services team customizes your vacation so you spend your time playing, not planning. From the moment you arrive, your personal VIP Guide is there to take care of everything - from creating your ideal itinerary to getting you the best seats in the house for live shows, parades and nighttime spectaculars. Prepare to be pampered with a Disney VIP Tour.

Duration: 5 hours minimum
Cost: $85.00 ◊ per hour per party when booked more than 48 hours in advance
$95.00 ◊ per hour per party when booked less than 48 hours in advance and for tours booked during the holidays
Theme Park admission is required. "

Safari Steve did you like this service? Did you think it was well worth the money?

:D

I didn't realize that you are a WDW cast member Safari Steve - that's great! I was hoping to hear some reviews of this service. It is something we are considering for our upcoming trip. Thanks. :D
