Been looking at Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs Area as it’s close to Disney Springs and has free shuttles to all 4 Disney parks. I see that they say you have to reserve shuttles but do you really have to reserve them, do they just turn up anyway to pick up guests to the parks?

they come anyway but you reserve online to hold a space, I guess in busy times for that reason- it's easy and free to do, and nice to know exactly when bus will arrive vs Disney buses which are random.

Oh thanks that’s good to know. So they still have a schedule or timetable for the buses even if you don’t reserve them?

Do you know if the buses make multiple stops at other parks /share buses? As I see another Dis Springs area hotel ‘the Drury Plaza’ their buses are shared for example the bus to magic kingdom will also share with animal kingdom, so takes longer to get to and from the parks so not always a direct bus to the park of your choice?

they all run on their own schedules, sometimes they share, sometimes not. You have to reserve to leave hotel,in my experience they do check (so they know how many need a ride) - the buses run on the schedule no matter what. very reliable from other dis springs hotels IMHO -usually coming back they ask you to reserve a time as a placeholder but that's not necessary as you can grab any of their times on way back.

Do you just reserve at the front desk the night before?

Could you grab/reserve a bus on the day, within say an hour? Say you don’t decide what park your doing till that morning can you reserve or change your mind at breakfast, like can I just ask for a bus within the hour?

usually it's a quick online thing to reserve- and probably you can do it pretty close to time if not busy season

Thanks for the help.

Or is there any nearby Disney resort hotels can walk to and use their buses to parks? We did this when we stayed at swan hotel in Epcot area and sometimes would get the Boardwalk hotel buses back from the parks and walk to our swan hotel

It's a little less then a mile to SSR. Doable but probably not worth it. Use ride share to supplement bus service.

Sounds like uber/lyft would be the best choice for you if not wanting to pre reserve the shuttle and potentially needing to stop at multiple stops. Walking to a Disney resort is doable but imo not worth doing.
This is why staying at a Disney resort is usually a good option so you don't have to worry about these details.

I've walked from both springs Hilton's over to ssr bus stop easily. Esp useful on way back to hotel if I don't like the return times for bus to hotel.
